Well, having a challenged planet only means that once we are conscious of it, we can optimize the positives and prevent the negatives. This would mean that you will have to watch over the spending or how money goes out of the partnership. And that when you do find "the one", you iron out differences in religion, values and customs. It could be that they may have a "short cut" philosophy on life and not wanting to do the honest, long road work. I have Mars in Libra and I have had to learn that even though it is "debilitated", I can't exchange it for one that is "strong". I think its all a matter of not buying into the hype and making what you have work. IP: Logged |

I think it didn't matter who I fell for, all that mattered was who fell for me....because when left to my own devices I usually wandered out of commitments and became single again, even if I really loved the guy, I just found dating nerve-wracking and destabilizing.Aries Jupiter sextile its dispositor Gemini Mars Jupiter in a t-square with my sun Mars in a t-square with my moon Jupiter and Mars in a Mystic Rectangle with Sag Neptune and Libra Pluto. Leo suns have held onto me longest; Leo is at the center of that Rectangle and squares my nodal axis. And most importantly it's a fixed sign, good for making things last. Plus, Leos are sexy, that helps. Please don't quote IP: Logged |

Mine are interconnected. My Jupiter is conjunct my Sun in Cancer, and opposite my Moon in Cap. My Mars is sextile Jupiter and Sun, and also trine my Moon. That being said, both descriptions of Virgo and Cancer work for me. But my most significant relationships have been with Cancer Suns. But Cancer is also my 8th house. So see, I don't think it's clear cut about Jupiter vs. Mars... IP: Logged |

You see! Make sure to take a look at your Jupiter Persona Chart. I've just started studying persona charts and have discovered a couple of eerie 'coincidences' in there. My Jupiter persona chart pretty much describes my current crush (Sun/Moon etc), and when studying male acquaintances Venus Persona Chart I've discovered that it often describes their significant other in some way or another. But, I need to do some more digging! IP: Logged |

Yes, it's probably a combination of aspects and signs that determines what you fall for. I definitely agree. Though, personally I don't identify either with my Venus or Mars as for what I tend to go for in a man. Venus/Taurus (I generally don't fall for Taurus characteristics, though now that I think about it, one of my exes is a Taurus) and Mars/Aries (NO!). I've noticed that I like Virgos and Cancers which happens to be my Moon/Jupiter signs! IP: Logged |

quote: Originally posted by Aries23Degrees: I am not a woman. But I also read the same thing and theoretically, it made sense.Jupiter is about expansion and growth. Jupiter is the teacher and imparts wisdom/growth etc. So when one gets married(a 7th house activity),they expand (Jupiter) by having children and having their roles change from "girlfriend" to wife/mother or from boyfriend to husband/father etc. Also, one would think that the woman would want a husband that is going to bring them joy, abundance, teaching and imparting wisdom to children(Jupiter again and to a certain extent Chiron too). Mars I don't see as the "settling down" type. Not by a long short.Mars in Vedic is the soldier and fights,is aggressive, antagonistic and easily agitated. Would one rather have a teacher(Jupiter) or a soldier(Mars) around their kids? But in my opinion there is this psychological imprint in many women that there is somehow a lurking danger out there somewhere and if they are "weak" or "unprepared for it,it will come and wreak irreparable harm etc. To a large extent, media, religion and society feed this perception with cheesy soapies ,church, crime statistics of rape and talking of women and children as "vulnerable groups" etc. And this can certainly dis-empower women into believing that they are just not "able" by themselves Mars is the "muscle power",strength, brutishness and all that.Even going as far as to be extended to a males fertility( of which I think is erroneous as Venus rules that and muscle power has little to do with ones ability to have children) This feeds to the skewed idea that gay men (more especially effeminate men)are "infertile" or that their "stuff" is handicapped in some way i.e "He can't be gay.He has two kids" etc. This is because they contradict the typical externally accepted characteristics of Mars/ how a "real man is supposed to be . I think the appeal of Mars is the classic "provider" who will go out and hunt to bring back the food/kill etc. But we also have to admit that Mars does not an easy living partner make- impulsive, reckless and often argumentative(even violent). Look at the 7th house in the chart of a woman and when Jupiter is there, the mate a woman has is often gregarious, positive ,moral, optimistic etc. (unless badly aspected then the not-so admirable traits of Jupiter can manifest). Put Mars in the 7th house( and even if "well aspected") and you will find a mate that argues, can be antagonistic, makes decisions independently from them, very stubborn to get their own way etc. Not exactly "Prince charming". I get it.
Great explanation, Aries23Degrees! Maybe it depends on the woman as well? I'm way more attracted to the teacher that imparts wisdom/growth (Jupiter), both physically and emotionally. The soldier (Mars) just doesn't do anything for me. Though, actually, I may have a 7th house Mars (or 8th house), I have two birth times to choose from as for now, so the things about 7th house Mars wouldn't apply to me. I'm not sure why I feel so indifferent about Mars. It even aspects my Moon. Although it is an opposition. However, great theory! IP: Logged |

I actually don't think so. Isn't it rather rare with same Sun couples? I'm Gemini. I don't particularly like Gemini men. Our energy is too similar. Though I DO like men with Gemini characteristics and perhaps some Gemini placements, such as Gemini Mercury and some of my exes have had a Gemini Venus. But I can't see myself fall for someone with a Gemini Sun or Gemini Moon. But I'm a Gemini lol, so I've learned to never say never. We're constantly changing our minds! Also, I think us Gemini's are more possessive than we'd like to admit, and it's difficult to possess another Gemini. We're well aware, so we look elsewhere ... Like, Gemini's can be fickle, but we don't want our partner to be. I hope that doesn't sound too horrible. Our heart is in the right place. I think the same may go for other Sun signs. We're too familiar with the weaknesses/strengths of our Sun, so it's not as appealing as other more unexplored signs. IP: Logged |

In the whole signs system, Mars would be in my 7th. And I am way uncomfortable with that. Mars in 8th often suggests one who may get sexually stimulated by a Mars personality; competitive guys, sports guys, military guys, impulsive/spontaneous guy ,muscled guys, "animalistic" looking guys,"jocks",guys who have a tanned or darker skin tone or look like they are the outdoorsy types. The opposition of Mars to your Moon may suggests a "see-saw" personal characteristic Or one that is prone to extremes of both the Moon and Mars Mars is anger and when involved in the opposition to the Moon, there can be anger towards hurt feelings but also an extreme of getting very emotional and crying. So a mate with Mars characteristics will both attract(because of familiarity) and repel(opposition), because they may add to the irritation already felt with the natal opposition of the two planets. In short, they may make you cry on one hand and then become very engaging -the next. It may also suggest that you associate extreme feelings with being cared for i.e you have to engage and possibly fight with your mate(Mars)to feel cared for(Moon). In my case(square Mars),I am annoyed with people who are aggressive(the extreme Mars/ Aries types). They just f**** annoy me. But I tend to attract Moon/Venus in Aries quite a bit. And the fights are quite spectacular I remember that this is also because of the natal square that is already irritated. So the Aries/Mars person may just add to that. IP: Logged |

I've got a Scorpio Mars (in the 10th) and a Virgo Jupiter (in the 8th). I'm attracted to men with Scorpio qualities a lot but never actual Scorpio Suns. Virgo Suns on the other hand are different for me. I find myself being attracted to them in a "This isn't normally my type and yet I somehow like them" way. That could be because my 8th house falls in Virgo. I also like men with Mars/Venus in Virgo but surely that's in great part because of my Venus in Virgo (also in the 8th).IP: Logged |

Mars is like the bad boy on a Harley, he looks rugged and doesn't have what a woman needs but we are attached to. Jupiter is husband in a woman's chart so he is the guy that can provide, protect and give us our home. I am attracted to my mars sign but jupiter is what works in the long run. It's the guy you marry. IP: Logged |

My mars is in gemini and I lo e geminis but my jupiter conjuncts my mercury in leo. I loooovvveeethe warmth of a leo!!!They are usually very warm and nuturing, a little ego sensive but it doesn't bother me that bad, kinda humorus in ways or I am lighthearted in love. So I gel well with them but my Cancer sun likes security. Gemini mars and venus likes stimulation intellectually. IP: Logged |

My Jupiter is in Leo and my current partner/person I will almost certainly marry is Leo moon and Leo rising. Mars in Taurus (his MC in Taurus) BUT in the 8th house (he's a Scorpio sun/merc/Venus/Pluto). Arguments could be made either way. My other big serious relationship was a Virgo sun but he has his NN on my Venus, and I generally don't care for earth types romantically. IP: Logged |

Mars in Sagittarius 12th house, Moon conjunct Jupiter (tight) in Aries 4th house. Well, I LOVE Fire sun men the most but my first love was a Pisces sun. hahahaha. He has sag mars but I bet he has sag rising too because he always jokes around and happy aura. He is the perfect combination so far followed by Aries men, yes, I always love Aries men because they, for the most part, have honest actions that you can be honest to them too and have so much fun with. My sag placement can be VERY blunt and aries men tend to be okay with it, so I feel comfortable around them quickly. IP: Logged |

I have Mars in libra which is conjunct my Sun/Mercury and makes a 0'06 exact orb parallel to Pluto I am attracted to libra qualities but the most attractive feature of Venus for me is artistic talent. When I read about Mars in Scorpio it fits me to the T. Maybe this could have to do with my Scorpio Venus conj Pluto on DC, or that my sun/Mars/merc are all exactly parallel Pluto, especially Mars which is by 6 seconds. I'm extremely passionate and so it seems that Plutonian themes are most satisfying since they can understand my intensity and fixated interests, I can be brooding and secretive and often feel misunderstood so it's the penetrating plutonians that resonate with me. I'm not sure about my Jupiter cancer 3H acting as an attraction force, what I like about cancer/moon is the nurturing qualities and draw to cooking/taking care of the moon, but romantically I've found cancers to be a bit too clingy and homebodyish despite my strong Scorpio/Pluto influence, maybe libra is just too restless for the lunar influence though I seem to attract them. Actually when I think about it I attract water type planetary people, being neptuniuns, lunar folk and plutonians and variations of this like Pluto conj ASC with prominent moon placement or Neptune conj ASC with Pluto conjunction.. Etc. To me it makes more sense to blend the entire chart and energy of a person to see what they are attracted to. Venus ultimately is the planet of attraction and relationships, so despite gender show the love nature and desires, so that blended with Mars, house cusps associated with love (5H, 7H especially and 8H) will be more accurate than just focusing on Mars.. Or Jupiter. IP: Logged |
