Noticed a difference? If you work with the transiting nodes, or exact aspects to your nodal axis, or if your nodes are on the cusp of a sign or house, it might be interesting to look into the difference between the two.I hadn't taken much heed, always just determined that the True Node sounded more legit, in that it attempts at least to take into account the wobble of the Earth and Moon.. But then I noticed that my reverse Mean nodal return coincided EXACTLY with the day I finally broke up with my boyfriend for good on October 13th, which really did mark a huge turning point in my personal evolution.
This is partly because, natally, I have this Juno South Node conjunction... it is nine degrees wide, but by progression, Juno is conjunct my South Node and my progressed Midheaven pretty tight. Learning how to stand up for myself and be the best Juno I can be is absolutely crucial for me in so many ways. This means standing up for myself, and also taking heed of the real feelings of all the people with whom I interact, and coming into right relationship with everybody (it's in Virgo... constant adjustment) in a pretty visible way.
Funny, but as I was writing this, my ex called me and we had a peaceful chat... I'm grateful for every moment of peace and revelation (of course there have been many, and the book is not closed, though a new chapter has definitely commenced). My true reverse Nodal return is on Halloween, so I'll keep you posted about what transpires when it becomes exact. I think that will likely be revealing too.
But I'm convinced that the Mean Node can determine with some impressive exactitude important events and conditions, by transit and in the natal chart as well (in all things, I suppose). Steven Forrest has noticed the same. His musings on that here (at the end):

Very interested in your thoughts and experiences. Working with the transiting nodes can be so rewarding, so if you haven't been, maybe now would be a good time to begin to keep an eye on them?
Samhain blessings to all!
