I've been mostly absent for a while and want to add to this thread. Since my last post here Saturn (now 17VIR37) has come into exact square to my Asc (17VIR14).

Yesterday was miserable with a terrible headache, but brought an opportunity to reset my natural medicine and herbal health program and today I'm so much better I was able to walk to a nearby park to do my walking meditation. Still working things out, but I'm definitely feeling a new start with more appropriate health measures that will be easier and less costly.

Edgar Cayce spoke of Saturn as bringing the chance for changes to reset one's relation to material life. Robert Hand speaks of its transits as marking the area and timing of examination and testing in one's life. Saturn's conjunctions/parallels, squares, oppositions/contra-parallels are transits (and progressions) that give us a chance at a reset in our lives. If we are not able to make such changes, they tend to pile up on us in a way that later can feel overwhelming, even 'fated.'

Hard Saturn transits play out slowly enough (generally over several months) that we get plenty of time to make the changes that will allow us to get a new start or to reset certain things in a life that is working pretty well. It is a matter of seeing what area of life in which we are not satisfied with the results and taking initiative to get a better result.

Patience is always helpful as we persist.

Yes!!!

I wanted to add that when my daughter's 4th house Sun was hit by Saturn her juvenile idiopathic arthiris started. She had to start with all kinds of medicine. Also her eyes were infected. Later on we also visited an osteopath and someone who does touch for health and now a doctor in functional medicine who will look at the immune system and foods. Early next year Saturn will be square her Moon. She has the chance to heal that which never had a chance to build up normally. Her microbiome!!! At birth (Moon) Pluto was square her Moon and soon Saturn hits that configuration. As a baby they had to give her antibiotics. She couldn't breath on her own so was layed in an incubator for 2 days. She had to stay in the hospital for 5 days. I am sure this is all part of the big picture.
Currently she has no inflammation aywhere! Only her IOP (glaucoma) is high because of the eye drops. I have never in my life learned as much about health and the body as these months.

T. Saturn is conjunct my ASC at the moment at 14 SAG.

I joined the gym once it entered my 1st house and seem to a lot more self-conscious about my body. Even tho I thought I was past all this. Its like I'm re-living my teenage self-doubt. Also finally crunched some numbers and acknowledged all the credit card debt I have and vowed to not use them anymore.

And the best part is T. Saturn is now nearing my natal Saturn aka Saturn return which means it will be opposing my natal Venus in the 7th H in a few months... It might not be as bad as it sounds.

Having natal Saturn in the 1st house in a lot of ways is a easy placement - once you can build up the self-esteem and get over any personal obstacles, I believe it will be smooth sailing for me.

I started writing a very negative sounding post in the morning when I was feeling awful and just caught Saturn squaring my Mercuy exact.
But I posponed it because I felt too bad and incapable even for posting something.

Later when I was looking back to other Saturn transits I realised one thing, that as much as I'm not a fan of Saturn, it really has a way to force me to take a chrystal clear glance into a very much unwanted possible future. It's paralising at first, throws me into a dark cold room and feels like there is no escape. But then what happens is that somehow I get sober from my daydreams and start seeing what is. And I just observe, calm down because I know that I am the only one responsible here. And then I start building...hopefully.

Last time it was squaring my Sun a year ago and it gave me such a clarity around my relationship.

Also 7 years ago when it was conjunct my Mercury I lost my job because of company restructuring, now I want to leave my current job but I haven't had the courage yet. Maybe this square will help

Also I read somewhere related to Saturn transits, that it gives you the opportunity to let go of beliefs/ situations that is not serving you anymore, and here is the catch: to let go of what you don't want even when you are not clear yet about what you do want.
And this is exactly the situation I am in right now.
And with Saturn I think it's maybe the least risky to do this, because it won't let you just jump into whatever idea. So if you manage to decide to let go of some baggage around this transit, it is the right time to do it, I think.
