I am probably (highly likely) not your typical, "average" Cancer human. I have very deep running emotions that took me a good, few years to get a grip on. And when I say deep, I mean DEEP!

My Capricorn Moon has taken over it seems as I've gotten older and now I am more Uranian/Saturnine. Stable but wild. If that makes any sense at all ? LOL

What IS Cancerian about me is that I will defend my "family" with my last tooth and nail and I'll be extremely vicious if needed. Aside from that, I just want to be left alone to ponder wordly matters.

With that energy, he will either choose to be very loving and gentle. Or completely macho and self-hating(suppressing it).

Given the stellium,it should be interesting to find his Asc position.

If all that Cancer is in the 1st, he should come across more 'Aries' in expression. If in the 2nd, more 'Taurus', if in 3rd house more 'Gemini' etc.

Sometimes I feel too sensitive for my own good, but maybe that could just be my Scorpio placements kicking in as well. Often my emotions get the best of me, even when I'm trying to be rational ;-;

I am a Cancer Sun, Cancer Mercury, Cancer Venus. What I can tell you is that yes, we are very sensitive and moody. It depends too on what sign the moon is in. I have mine in Taurus and so I think that helps with my moods a bit. Because I don't show my emotions in public and I hate when others do. I am also very calm about most things. Thanks to my Taurus moon.
However, my cousin has Cancer sun, and Cancer Mercury but has a Leo moon and although he is still sensitive and moody, he is very prideful of his emotions. My uncle is the same way but has an Aries moon so he is hot tempered with his emotions. Can you kind of see what I am getting at with this?
I can tell you though that with the Cancer venus, we show our love (or at least I do) by giving gifts and playfully making jokes of the person we like. <--that last part could be due to me not developing emotionally until now.
Cancers love hard and they are very sweet and can be loyal. If you hurt them, expect the silent treatment. They need reassurance and someone who can understand their mood swings and their emotions.

To be honest, I have spent the last several years really getting to know myself and so I think I have really learned how to control my emotions better and I understand why I am feeling the way I am. This helps in certain situations. I have also learned to not shut my feelings down and close people out. I learned to verbalize my feelings more in a tactful way. I say this because I don't think all Cancers are like that. I'm sure a lot are but not all. Because we have so much emotion and feeling it tends to weigh us down and sometimes we might act like a child. Just keep that in mind with your Cancer. It's not you, they are just feeling things. Try talking to them.

The Cancers I can think of are dramatic, they overreact to everything. For example, I had a new hire come in to the office today who was extremely rude to our HR team. When she asked if he had reviewed our company benefits, he responded to her that we had the worst benefits he had ever seen. Later in the day the HR team tried helping him log into the company intranet to which he was having problems. He was throwing his arms in the air, rolling his eyes, sighing as loud as he could, and slamming the mouse on the desk whenever he encountered a problem.

I have A LOT of Cancer in my chart.

Sun, Mercury, Venus, IC, and SN in Cancer.

Sun and SN in the 3rd house, Mercury and Venus in the 4th.

Sun, Venus, IC and SN all conjunct very tightly.

Cancer rules both the 4th and 5th house in my chart.

I can be very empathetic, emotional, and am extremely thin skinned, but I don't overreact in a dramatic way, at least not in public. But I also have a Pisces Moon in the 12th house, so that can be why I repress my emotions somewhat.

I am terribly shy and introverted, and it is very difficult for me to be assertive, despite having an Aries Ascendant. I get my feelings hurt really easily, but I always try to hold them in and then cry when I am alone. The greatest form of therapy to prevent myself from drowning in too much water is through creative outlets. Painting, doing yoga, singing, and listening to music are great ways to release these emotions.

I have mostly water with some earth, an air singleton, and a fire void. Oh how I wish for more air and fire. I need some more breathing room and spark in my life.

My sons mother is a Leo Sun, cancer ascendant with cancer Venus conjunct.
Her Leo stellium Sun,moon and mars all fall in her 4th house (yes we are born in the northern hemisphere, relatively near the pole, so houses can be very big and very small.)

So imagine a moody, emotinal drama Queen on steroids and you get my sons mother.

She is the perfect mother and i couldnt imagine anyone better to take care of our son. Talking stereotypes she actually IS magnificent at cooking too.

But. I have never been in a relationship with so much fighting and arguing. I need to constantly weight my words, or she might blow up and accuse me of disloyalty or not caring enough or not doing enough for your family and her etc etc.

For a long time i actually thought i matched my Sun sign very much, but now i have realised im just a tiny bit of cancer. Im actually very much more my gemini Venus and Moon.

Anyhow, i have never cheated, i have taken care of both my mother and father in greather lengths than many would, i value my family the highest.
Thats was true once. Not anymore. I have become so utterly allienated by this doped cancer creation to the point that theres not a week going by that i consiter leaving her and and my son (yes, theres no Chance in hell she would even consiter shared custody)

Loyalty is super important. You are either "with them" or against them. If you betray them, they can cut you off, cold lol
Family is everything and they make nests with people they love. If they like you, they feed you lol

Do women with prominent Cancer placements seek out or gravitate to any particular type of male chart?

I have learned this much from experience: it is not necessarily romantic love these women are looking for.

I think it would. I personally can feel Cancer like with my fourth house stellium and my exact Sun conjunction to the IC. I want to hear other's thoughts on it though.
