The one thing I gotta thank my aries moon is that I get distracted and cheered up easily. After (or during) a particularly stressful and/or traumatic event, I could be in a sht hole one minute, and the next I'd be chasing after butterflies. Then after a while I'd remember the stress and start to think n feel down, then perk up again. It continues in that fashion, each time I'd feel less horrible and eventually stop feeling bad. Extreme grief in the morning. Enjoying pizza and watching cartoons at night. Seems like it's a good thing for me because it has helped me to stop the spread of gloom and get over many things. I like having outlets, yes. I have 3rd house moon as well, so I like to let things out. Having to keep it in over a long period of time is the last resort. Not hard, but definitely not appealing at all. Thinking about it alone makes me feel urgh. Fortunately these outlets can be quite simple, like writing things down, reading...etc... even screaming does the trick. Anyway, I don't think there is a moon sign that does it best (they each have different ways that are suitable to their different needs), or a best way to deal with such things. I think that as long as the method used aren't destructive, and help them to get on with life, that's good enough. IP: Logged |

And maybe it's just my background in which stress and trauma deals with some hardcore things like violence so that I have a very different idea of stress and trauma, but I'd look more to Mars to how one deals with that. The emotional toll may be moon. It's hard for me to say because I've got both a Sag moon and Mars.
One is male: Leo Sun, Sag Moon, Leo Mars and another female: Leo Sun, Sag Moon, Gemini Mars they can't cry IP: Logged |

Sorry, that was much too harsh a statement! Actually I was just thinking about all the gemini moons I personally know, who likes to stay very anonymous.. .none of them likes to be in the spotlight for long and they actually dislike it... but I didn't meant that they wont become successful at all!

Pretty much stifle their flow. In other words, the famous Aqua logic reasons out a situation and chooses to act with their higher mind (or at least what they think is their higher mind, since they usually have an attitude that says emotions are "human frailties" which they must learnt to do without). So, if there's a situation that requires them to do something they terribly dislike - they'll grit their teeth and do it anyway "for the greater good". If they act on their feelings, it leaves them with immeasurable guilt for being petty and selfish for doing so. They choose rationality because it gives them some measure of peace, and much less guilt. All the trans-personal moon signs tend to try to transcend their emotions in some way. Each has an ideal they hold dear. They sacrifice feelings at the altar of that ideal. Cap moons do it out of a sense of duty. It goes against their grain of ethics to violate this sense of duty. Aqua moons hold human rationality in much the same light. They (we) think it's a gift that must be honoured. If we can *think* better than our feelings, must we not be better than our feelings too? Of course, there's a flaw in that reasoning - but that's another story. Pisces moons being the last of the transpersonals and a water moon, combine the approaches of water & transpersonal signs.
I second this. Aqua detaches themselves and wants to look at their problems from far away - which is good and bad. It's good b/c they can get a logical perspective on everything, but dealing w/ emotions from a distance doesn't help the situation, and I don't think that's how emotions really work since they're meant to be felt, not thought about the air signs are all complicated in their own way. they wanna reason through their emotions instead of dealing w/ them. but my point is, air moons are not good at dealing w/ emotions imo IP: Logged |

If we were to state astrologically what moon sign is best, it would be Taurus obviously. Of course, I've never seen how a Taurus Moon deals with their emotions, so there's not much I can comment on here. Sagittarius Moons are not that good at keeping a good flow of happiness when dealing with emotions. They can be incredibly optimistic, but most Sag Moons that I've known are usually the ones that break the mood when they are dealing with emotional issues. It's like the fire that was inside of them is now blown out. In my experience, they have either taken out their stress on others by complaining about every little thing that comes their way or they just shut down and don't open up at all about absolutely anything. Both cases have been with Leo Suns who both had Mars in Gemini. Moon in Cancer is so easily swayed by their emotions that it can ruin their whole day. Sometimes, when you run into a moody Cancer Moon, it's like "whoa, what the hell happened to you?" They tend to be very snappy when they are moody and sometimes they just flat out don't know why they are so pissy. Sometimes I tend to think they can be like, "Ugh...I'm just done." They tend to be more vocal about how they're feeling. As a Moon in Gemini, I get torn apart by my emotions. My Plutonian influence on my Moon makes it more extreme, soon feeling extreme hatred for things and/or people at points in time for things that they've done, and then later feeling guilty for feeling such but soon reverting back and so forth. A Gemini Moon will not be set on one single feeling; they constantly flip-flop and can confuse themselves with their constant changeable emotions. I will say that I am able to rationally look at myself when making mistakes though, and my emotional need to fix it makes me able to get over my emotional stress more easily. I would think a Pisces Moon gets lost in their emotions. I like to think that they would get super emotional over something and get so lost in their emotional world that the reality before them is blocked out. This is just a guess but perhaps their emotions are like dreams; each feeling is a new world for them to get lost in. An Aries Moon I know usually gets emotional very easily, but often will try to do so in private. They are quite good at dealing with emotions in my experience, since the one I know tries to not let their emotions disrupt everything around them. They will usually go into a room and let their emotions out, and then they'll come out and tell me that they needed a minute to deal with their emotions. They just get really emotional easily, and very quickly too. ------------------ Scorpio Ascendant Aquarius Sun in 4th Gemini Moon in 8th Check out my blog ya'll: www.electrodgxtalks.wordpress.com IP: Logged |

LOL How'd you know? Reminds me of the song "Lost in Emotion" ....and the singer has a Pisces moon, of course. http://www.astrotheme.com/astrology/Lisa_Lisa_(musician)

I know a few moon in gemini people (one is my close friend) and they all tend to move on from love encounters/heartbreak rather quickly. Not that they don't feel it or experience it, but I haven't seen them dwell on it or feel stifled at all because of it. (House placement is important, of course), but I believe moon in gemini is too light-hearted and changeable to get "stuck" on one person or feeling.IP: Logged |

You got me thinking about this... US Presidents and their moon signs http://astrolibrary.org/us-presidents-table-zodiac-signs/ Three or four of the first ten US Presidents have a Capricorn moon: Washington, James Monroe, John Quincy Adams, and maybe Martin van Buren. And guess what this guy's moon sign is? Yeah, Capricorn. Chester Arthur was the last Cap moon President, though. It seems to have fallen out of favor and is now one of the least represented. We've only had one Aries moon President: John Adams. We've never had a Pisces moon President. IP: Logged |

I am a gemini moon and I would agree with not wanting to be on the spotlight. however, I wonder how obama would feel about this statement. I am not sure it is because of my gemini moon. there is a lot of chiron aspecting my mars-sun-venus stellium. it think is that instead, but who knows IP: Logged | |
