Hola
I have never heard that, but I am are that many people do not feel as their ascendant, me included.

one possibility is that it takes time to develop

another possibility is that people were born in different time. Cannon MaKaffe says that many time the ascendant needs correction because it not necearily aligns with the time of birth. he is knowledable about the ascendant, you can ask this question to him.

to be honest, the ascendant is one of this things in astrology that are elusive to me. i can see the correlation with the physical appearance included mine, but the other things about the ascendant scape me. there are a lot of words (the mask, the first reaction, etc) but still I do not grasp entirely the meaning of the ascendant.

Thanks for your answer..

Although I know examples in close friends, they show more to their ascendant (taurus, scorpios or leo) when your sun is in some sign like (piscis, cancer or quiet signs) but i know it is necessary to see the position of all its Planets.

In my case for example, i feel that for one side i have characterics of my ascendant (capricorn and saturn in capricorn) i'm serious, cold, little talk and others characterics with unknown people.. but other side im not feel a hard worker and i'm not patient
etc.. typical aspects about a capricorn (Which I would like) although i have sun in scorpio and this have some same characterics in common. im confused for this combination..

im 26 years old and im feel some changes in my but thisIt could be maturation (?)

I dont wait a change, i know that depends on me.. just intrigues me

thanks for readme

Your English is fine. It's not my mother tongue either

In my understanding, the Asc/1st house is that part of you that you can't "control" -even if you wanted to.

It is not a "mask", nor is it a "facade". But a way in which one interacts with the world from an instinctive sense.

Planets sitting on it will certainly colour the Asc a great deal . And it is not only after 30 that one "grows" into it, but it may be at that age that one starts to accepts oneself holistically "as is".

With Asc in Cap, you think the world a place that is unsafe, unpredictable and difficult. With Saturn also in 1st, this is emphasized.

Sun in Scorpio would make your natural expression as someone who thinks deeply on issues. It could be love, sex, money, death, pain etc. Whatever the subject, you may get emotionally invested in it.

So both the Asc and Sun may make for a personality that seems very tough on the outside. The Asc in Capricorn doesn't show weakness/emotional flexibility whilst Scorpio Sun can be suspicious of people etc.

With Asc in cap, you may be be a worry wart. You want to do everything to the best of your ability. So you find it hard to relax and may seem overly formal or "stuck up" to others.

Your Sun in Scorpio has strong feelings about things. And this can make others uncomfortable when you express your opinion on an issue.

So just imagine the cold Cap appearance coupled with the very strong willed Sun in Scorpio? If the Moon is in Aqua,Aries or Virgo, you could be someone who appears to have no emotions at all.

Thank you!!! Great reply.. Now i understand better.
In reality im very very cold, independent and closed with my familiy (I have no problems with them, we are good family and there are no problems) i cant count my things, they have to ask me.. but with my friends or girlfriend i am very open.. talk so much about my things.. is rare.. I do not understand and this bothers me..

to add.. moon in piscis, this position should calm my personality (sun, pluton, venus and mercury in scorpio and urano, saturn and neptune en capri, jupiter in leo).

thanks for readme!

Franco,

The rising sign is the primary modus operandi of a person. It is there from birth, but not all charts hold the right rising sign without correction.

It can take time for a person's orientation in life and personality to start to fill out within that 30° framework. The rising sign gives a lot of latitude for a person to express themselves within it.

So no, it does not take until age 30 for it to take hold within the person, but it might take that long or longer for outsiders such as astrologers to recognize it.

you may be near your saturn return and being saturn the ruler of your AC, that is interesting that you may be feeling changes in that department.

well i use primary directions, which implies that your sun stays in the same sign (aqua for example) but it changes through out the houses. so does your ascendant change.

so if this is true, then that means you actually grow more to be more like your sun.

imagine you are exposed to radiation, different kinds. one kind you are always exposed to, so you get adjusted to it and become more adjusted to that radiation. the other types are with you for 20 years, then they change, then another 20 years they change, but the one type is always being exposed to you, in this case you become more like that one.
