There's a thread of this being discussed in Lindaland Central 2.0. So far nothing has been said regarding doing something about it.

I'd like it back too honestly; it's just making things harder for everyone. Although I'm likely to believe that it's not going to happen very soon.

Hahaha only Randall can do that!

The button that I wish was gone is the one to quote stuff...then you could have more freedom to post personal stuff with no risk of people quoting.

It's supposed to be temporary. As electro said, there's a thread in LLC 2.

Well, it looks like someone (Randall I assume) closed the thread in LLC2.

Hehe .. Danny! It would be nice if you could choose everytime you write something, to switch the quote button on or off. I was almost sure you wouldn't mind this time.

The quote button is helpful when there's an argument and said persons edit.

Most of us don't use it in an attempt to frame others. The quote buttons n has been used by some to inflame.

I always used the quote button so the person knows I am talking to them and what the context is. I have always seeing it as a forum conversational tool.

That been said it would be cool to be able to disable the quote function if someone desires for a post to not be quoted.

I wouldn't get rid of the quote button. It shows to whom I am speaking to.

That being said, in an arguement, it actually doesn't help. Anyone can make anyone else say anything using the code.

^ Obviously, you didn't say that. But I could type whatever I wanted and most would not stop to question it, because it is "quote.".

Editing, quoting...it would be nice if it was not abused, and used for their intended purposes.

I like the quote bottom on that sense what I don't like is when the person quote a personal stuff and you ask them gently to erase but they don't.It's not that they ain't on the thread anymore, that would be understandable but sometimes they simply ignore you.
That is totally disrespectful.

Yes!!! I'm glad a thread has been started about this issue. It's been driving me bonkers. I demand the Edit button to be re-established!

Exactly, so choosing before posting q or no q would help or the poster should be able to delete what someone else quote's of them. It gives a more friendly feel when you can pull the stirngs of your own written words.

Yes!! My Virgo and Gem placements are rolling over in their graves (a saying over here) Aaargh!! But, hold on, it should be a temporary thing and, it nicely shows us we're all human and make mistakes. I for one will never condem you for it!
