This is the same reason they thought there is dark matter, cause they have trouble knowing/understanding why galaxies are at their current speed.
A piece of dust from dynomite will not be travelling at the same speed 0.1 seconds after the explosion as it would be 7 seconds after the explosion. It would be going much slower. The way they measure it is assuming the galaxies have had a constant speed all this time, for 13 billion years, which is ludicrous.
The universe is not much older than our own star. That's the only theory that holds true.
