Hi guys, I'm honestly having a lot of trouble right now dealing with my uranus squaring my sun. Heres some description about it: Your identity rides on your sense of personal freedom. It can be quite a challenge to get you to do what you don't want to do, simply because you see any attempts by others to push you in a certain direction as threatening to your sense of freedom. You are a very dynamic person who questions tradition and authority, yet, paradoxically, you can be quite set in your ways! Although a humanitarian in many ways, you can be a little brusque when it comes to sentimentality or what you perceive to be excessive attachment to the past or to tradition. You can have a lot of nervous energy and defensiveness. It can be difficult to hold a 9 to 5 job or to develop steady routines. You work best when you can manage your own schedule, and you work in spurts. When you are hit with creative inspiration, you are capable of tremendous effort. However, you can be quite temperamental, and it is very hard for you to pour your hearts and souls into something that you don't "feel" for at the moment. You don't like superficiality or pretense, which is an admirable trait. However, your disdain for pretense can be problematic in a world where people are expected to perform whether they are inspired or not! You should try your best to channel your high levels of intuition, inventiveness, and spiritedness into creative endeavors or important causes. You might find that you encounter much less resistance in day-to-day life this way.
I do agree with every point on here. It's hard for me to balance a 5-9 or a 5-10 job. I take minimal shifts now because i can't balance it, and I don't have time wi th school. Sometimes when I know I have homework, I don't end up doing it till last minute. My favourite outlet is writing, and I put that on hold for 5 months because I just was frustrated with how my writing style was. I feel like it's taking a toll on my life, because theres so many things i want to do at the same time, and I feel like something is always blocking me. What makes it worst is my Sun squaring neptune as well, and my mercury squaring my neptune! I have a false reality I guess. I can make realistic goals, and they'll never play out how I want it.
Here's my whole chart: Is there anything in my chart to balance this, I don't know. It's taking a toll on me. ------------------ Scorpio Sun Capricorn Moon Cancer Rising IP: Logged |

Hey, Moon in Cappy ... don't be too critical of your writing style. I suggest you get a book called Stein on Writing (by Sol Stein). He is the master. It contains the very best writing advice for either fiction or non-fiction writers. Those aspects you point out -- yes, they are challenging, but they are good for creative people. #1 Important thing - drop the specific goals and let yourself go into writing as a fully creative act. That means go with the flow! Mercury square Moon & Neptune: excellent mental push into subjective, feeling, imaginative things; just develop your feel for story, for the subjective interplay inside the story, for the poetry. The critical tendencies of the mind as seen with many persons with Moon in Capricorn may keep trying to butt in and 'measure' quality or progress. OK, let it have its voice, but then get back to just enjoying the writing. Sun square Uranus: Yes, this can indicate what we'd call independence and a distaste for conventional routines or responsibilities, but as a creative person that is part of the deal -- at least until you have the confidence of how to balance conventional work (p.t. probably) with creative time. But this aspect is not particularly tight and is not a particularly troublesome factor for you. Sun square Neptune: this is also a fairly wide aspect, but again, good for imaginative, creative efforts. The difficulty with Neptune aspects is the tendency to let confidence fall through self-doubt or self-sabotage. Just keep developing your creative ability in your own way. You don't have to perfectly fulfill all your responsibilities, so long as you do what's most important. What is actually causing you trouble now is not anything in your birth chart per se. It is that Pluto [21S10] and Saturn [22S05] have been in transit parallel your natal Moon. Saturn's effect is 'blockage' -- at least temporarily, and tends to increase self-criticism of your efforts as 'not good enough.' Of course, because you're 16! Give yourself some time and persist .... Pluto's effect creates an internal drive towards creativity, but the intensity of it can mean you want to give birth to too much at once. It takes time. Don't over-organize your writing efforts, just keep everything you write and don't criticize and throw it out. Give yourself a chance later to see how it fits together. In other words, don't over-organize it with over-specifying (titles, goals, chapters, etc). Just write and get it all down and later, when these transits are over, you can evaluate better how it all fits together. Personally, I don't think this is a good time for you to be working even part-time. You are trying to do too much and it is weighing you down. ------------------ The Declinations Guy Rising Sign Descriptions ♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓ IP: Logged |

You think so? I just wanted some independence when it came to getting a job. I guess I didn't know the effects of it. I also do extra-cirrcular activities. Work might be weighing me down because sometimes I don't do my homework and i'll skip a day of school. Luckily, i'm good enough to keep my grades in the high 70's to 80's still.
Back to writing actually, i've been trying to reach a certain word count, and also been trying to plan my chapters. I think you're right about it creating a block. the more i organize, the more my ideas just stay.. you know.. ideas. The moon in c is killing me and it'll never stop obsessing over little things. I can't get through a writing session without critisizing myself, and stopping people i'll never (potentially) get an editor or publish my book in the future. I'd say it's because i write minimal. I hover over detail I guess. I'll look into that book. I've even stopped reading for a while. I want to get back into that. I think i'm gonna try to write the rest of my draft with critisizng myself every 2 seconds, then do some editing after (and i wont ask anyone what they think of it!)

in that chart I see a person who has the potential to make a lot of money haha, not for the sake of money alone, but through creating new and interesting stuffeven though the sun is square uranus (which by itself can make for a very creative person, especially with uranus in aquarius), there's an earth grand trine (mars, moon, saturn), which can give a lot of stability the person can use to stick to something sun in the 5th, also gives a lot of creativity, along with an square to uranus in 8th which shows a desire to be financially independent (with a lot of ups and downs of course) so, find what you love, keep your mind open to new ideas and ways of doing things, and stick to what you've decided to love to be doing a routine daily job can provide some good pocket money for as long as you'll need to work in that to get your resources enough to start your own thing..so if you can find it in you to stay in those jobs for sometime, even if they seem pointless, and meanwhile work on your ideas, in the end you may appreciate yourself that you did IP: Logged |

With Saturn and Pluto transiting parallel natal Moon, you're in a learning phase in terms of your creative habits -- more than a producing phase. That is what I mean by letting go of goals or expectations and just enjoy it. You're attempting to do too much to expect to do it all well. Get the book Stein on Writing and study it. It is a text book. I've been writing for over 30 years and it taught me valuable things. ------------------ The Declinations Guy Rising Sign Descriptions ♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓ IP: Logged |

Thank you. Just to put it in my own terms: just find my flow and style of writing. At this moment, I shouldn't be focusing on the technical aspects of my writing, but why I write and enjoying the process. ------------------ Scorpio Sun Capricorn Moon Cancer Rising IP: Logged |

Absolutely. Enjoy the process.Give yourself time to develop. Find your own voice, your own style. Explore. Color outside the lines a little. I have no doubt you have the talent and potential, but the enjoyment of creativity is the freedom in it, not meeting goals of particular projects or meeting some standard of what is 'right.' The Capricorn tendency is to make everything worth our time into a 'project' with goals, deadlines, etc. Believe me I know, I was born with Moon in Capricorn as well. But we also appreciate quality -- even if we cannot measure it according to some standard. Find the inner quality you have that can be revealed in your writing. I agree with Sagical's recommendation of the Julia Cameron book -- or any of Cameron's works. Hers along with Sol Stein's will be very, very helpful. ------------------ The Declinations Guy Rising Sign Descriptions ♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓ IP: Logged |

Thank you so much! I started writing, and i'm trying to let loose more and stop worrying about the word count, and instead, the story i'm trying to tell. I'm checking my library soon to see if they have your book! Also, I've realized with learning my writing habits, I'm a freewriter. I cant plan or else I lose intrest.
