I think my sun in opposition might counter a lot of that as I dress fairly conventionally. I do feel very conspicuous though and awkward which is a real bummer, having a Scorpio asc, sometimes. I describe it as feeling like a vampire in the sun - highly exposed. Also, it seems to come down to something silly like travelling last minute to an event but not feeling I've the right attire. A part of me yearns to be a step ford wife with the exact correct clothing on at all times though I know in reality I just couldn't be bothered. When I was working as an artist I'd also just walk around in paint clad clothes which actually (It was suggested to me to make clothes like that) did seem fashionable in its own right, with all the colours.

It is really just about finding a functional balance over time. I don't know that I can give you an applicable response in astrological terms.

With Sun in Cancer your energies are centered in the subjective, feeling, familial mode that likes unity. With Moon in Gemini your mind is probably easily activated, particularly by things that have emotive appeal.

With Taurus rising, your mode of expression wants steadiness, a cool response and that probably shows at least on the outside. Maybe think of Taurus rising in this context of Sun in Cancer and Moon in Gemini as an intuitive filter: if your surroundings or stimuli seem to try to pry you out of your peace zone, push it aside or simply observe purely for the information/learning.
