Anyone can be selfish, but this selfishness often shows up if the person has narcissistic personality or has damage/unhealthy way of thinking/feeling.

AND, there are levels of selfishness.
I've known (and lived with) Aries people in my lifetime. Sometimes they can push themselves way out, even be explosive in their expressions, and, at the same time, have a truly sensitive core. They can't help being 'me first'... that's their wiring.

With practicing self-awareness (going IN one's self), we can become less a 'self'-ish. We can LEARN to become more Giving to Others, thinking of Others. (With LOTS of self-forgiveness too.)

Yes, it's hard when you've been long-term married to someone who refuses to acknowledge you. That can be VERY painful and isolative. {Charlie}

That's when we need some better boundaries... NOT to cut off the spouse, OR cut the rest of humanity off and say that nobody is Good, at all. Gently..., I think that wounds our own soul... Boundaries are where we need to draw lines between who WE are, and the values of the partner, or the values of other people?

We need to cultivate our INNER Gardens.
What you Plant will grow.

If you think the world is super super selfish (WHICH I definitely would not disagree with-- because the blanket evidence IS there, very much), then, I would invite you (and me) to LOOK for the 'little evidences' of people doing invisible Good in the world. LOOK hard at first maybe? But, you'll start to see a WHOLE DIFFERENT Humanity start to be Birthed in front of your eyes. Collect those pieces of Evidence, and hide them in a special place inside you, inside your Heart.

There IS Good in the World. It IS there....

There's a difference between occasional organic times of retreat, being selfishness and re-charging our inner-batteries (that's natural) with a HARD CORE selfish nature. Those DO exist, too. Some seem incorrigible.

But....... when you see those things, begin pull away from that a bit, and start to cultivate "noticing" when people are NOT being selfish.

Even!! Note your OWN inner self... reach outside that bubble of harsh self-accusations, and begin to SEED some Kindness TO your inner self. It's not selfish to see your own self in a Kind light and awareness.... It's nutritive to your own soul.

In fact-- from there, from practicing INNER Compassion and thoughts of LovingKindness, we can REALLY REALLY have an effect... on others we meet, just from 'who' we are BEING among them.

When we 'notice' the Kindness of others, it reflects the Kindness in our OWN Soul.

Kindling. Kind-lings.
Kind-words... Kind-tongue
are like a medicine.
Harsh words. Mean words...
Cut like a knife, and leave people to bleed for a really really really long time.

YOU pick. Think. Then Choose Love.

I know 4 Leo mooners, 3 Gem moons and 3 Leo suns...all of them selfish SOBs haha

Nothing wrong with that but sometimes said selfishness is hurting another and theyfind it hard to see any fault intheir actions AND theynever apologize the latter with Leos (sun and moon alike) ime.

Vesta

Vesta (transits) can trigger becoming introspective and isolative for a while.

In aspect with Pluto this can also cause a person to feel overly isolated from society. (p. 149)

There are the generational Pluto Leos who have been experiencing that energetic effect of transiting Vesta.

Love Hurts!!!... Relationships, a Miracle ?

My dad used to sing this to me when he'd realize he had just seriously wounded and hurt my feelings. He'd try to capture and wrap his arms around me-- but I'd fight him off, and wrestle myself free from him... LOL

I've tried to change several times, but each time I have ended up getting badly hurt (losing my physical and mental health)

I have come to the conclusion that selfishness works best for me because only through it people would leave me alone..not to mention that I was always bullied by my peers as well as adults while growing up, and letting me be left to myself is really the greatest gift someone can give me
