Genealogy - it involves an investigative mind.

And the more usual careers in crime, psychology, criminology - basically anything to do with the justice system or crime. Though, lawyer is iffy. Scorpio, especially evolved ones, really favor truth. Being a lawyer sometimes means winning the case you're paid to win, regardless of truth, so they might suffer there.

Journalist or reporter is a good one too. But, in today's climate it's hard to keep a job as a good reporter or journalist, unless you work for a media that's fairly independent. A friend of mine who's got heavy scorp is an independent journalist who does most things herself and has built a pretty good rep.

More usual careers in crime do you mean criminal psychology?

Either or. Criminal or not. Psychology in general I mean. Doesn't have to be crime related though

Don't ignore your North Node in the idea of careers. It is your life path, and in some way the other aspects of the chart have to come together to support each other.

I have a fairly prominent 8th house (Pluto, Uranus, Moon), great at investigating. But my NN is in Sagittarius in the 11th, so I need to share my knowledge for all to benefit.

I used to want to be a psychologist or criminologist.
I have sun/mercury in my 8th plus I’m Scorpio ascendant.
My NN is in Libra.
I became a dancer, but also a dance therapist.

Where is your 6th?

I have 9th house prominent and I don't work in travel. I have mostly worked desk-bound jobs -Administration.

My work mostly required attention to detail and having to solve issues a lot. Mars is in the 6th.

With my Mars there, things that could go wrong at work. Do go wrong. And it can create a tense atmosphere(at worst) where I am always putting out small fires.

I could have been a firefighter,a surgeon or even a Marketing salesman. Because my line of work is consistently filled with pressure/disputes or strife.

Are there any aspects to the Moon?

Moon in 6th suggests emotional suppression. So the square of Pluto to the Moon as well as the loose square from the Sun(through the joint Pluto common aspect) suggests that you may have had to disguise how you feel internally. Having defenses up and not letting anyone in on how insecure you feel internally.

Chiron-Mars conj(anger that is tied into pain). Chiron-Saturn square(not being able to forget the pain caused, chronic aching). Saturn in 4th,Uranus echoes the Pluto/Moon square of distrust in getting emotionally attached.

Your issues are tied up to your emotional sense of self. The 6th house Moon highlights both pain and need to connect to your inner self. Health issues including depression, anorexia/bulimia and other related stomach ailments are mostly because of feelings suppression.

Mars-chiron in 10th- the world can see the chip on your shoulder. And its interesting that Moon is in 6th abd rules the 12th because both suggest that this is the area of life where you have expertise.

Psychology, therapy, nursing or a profession would be conventional choices for Moon in 6th. But the Mars/Chiron conj in the 10th as well as the Saturn in 4th, Moon/Pluto square suggests that you may have anger issues that don't support a more passive work life.

I am thinking something that will involve police/law enforcement work or something that has Pluto/Mars action motivation as well as Moon's need to protect.

Thank you I've never thought about being a police officer or working in law enforcement. I think that would be too dangerous for me. It takes a lot to make me angry but when I do it's bad. I'm currently in school for massage therapy. But its not something I want to do forever. I do have a lot of issues with my parents. Sometimes I feel like I'd be happier if I distant myself from them. But I don't know if that would make things better. I wish I knew what causes the pain. I guess it has a lot to do with Saturn being in my 4th house.

Ruler (Saturn) of my 8th house is in the 8th house along with Uranus, Neptune, and Venus. Pluto lands in my 6th house which is the ruler of my 7th house. I've always really been into psychology and am obsessed with astrology and understanding how others work. I used to want to be a psychologist but now more along the lines of an alternative healer. The more I discover the root of my problems, the more I want to help others and spread the cures for trauma. Can't see myself doing anything else

You Sun in the 9th is in the International House, across from your Pluto Scorpio (he rules it, PLUS the natural 8th-- plumbing the depths) in 3rd Libra (Venus rules that, in natural Mercury house).

You have Venus on F.S.Scheat.
Your LEO Rising is on F.S.Regulus.
Chiron is there in your 10th.
Venus rules your Taurus MC.

Whatever you choose, It could be Wise of you to maintain the Highest Integrity, and develop an Honest and Good Reputation.

All the good different things people are suggesting to you, will require that people can Trust you. Trust you and be able to have faith that the gambled risks, with entrusting you with hidden materials, would or will be honored.

You are wrapping up with your Saturn-return now... Means you are 'now' a full-fledged astrological Adult. Saturn is moving UP through your chart too. Building steady progress as you go.

Best of Luck to you.

O. So. How about.

Becoming an International Banking theft spy-ring buster.
Use that intuitive edge that could be tapped ...
Do behavior profiling, dealing with Forensic criminal corporate fraud accounts??
Forgery. Maybe even (in the Future) Virtual Forgeries.

Get a summer job (or winterim assignment) working for people who are making Virtual ID's that involve fingerprinting, eye-IDENTY.. as pass-keys.

Or like character Dr. Mallard "Ducky" on TV Show, NCIS...
Forensic Pathology,

Even a Mortician? H8

Another idea...
Being a Professor of Higher Learning, where eventually you'll be known for "teaching" what you'll learn?

awww. Just getting creative!

(Was this natal chart one of your self-adjusted Ascendants?
or is this your actual birthtime on formal BC.
You don't need to answer that if you don't want to.)

If you go the military or law route...

With F.S. Capulus close-to/ON your Taurus MC,
and Regulus on LEO Ascendant...
with Mars on F.S. Aldebaran,
Venus on Scheat...
The IC Scorpio on F.S. Unukalhai

Whatever it is that you decide to do Professionally, It might be of HIGHEST importance that you maintain Honesty.

It will reward you to HAVE and maintain good integrity and good moral ethical courage.

Take Good Care of yourself....
Can't wait to see what choices you make.
I'm Happy for you.

You've got a lot of fruitful years ahead of you. Enjoy yourself.
Smell the Roses too... Never forget that part.

Oh no... you sound like ME!! LOL

Massage Therapy is a good skill to learn. Learning a trade.

Something that can always bring you some money. Your tools, are your Hands.

Develop a Heart for people. They'll 'sense' the difference, and prefer YOU over others.

I wanted to become a counselor or social worker but when I went to school for it, I quickly realized that it is really hard for me to separate a clients feelings from my own. I realized I wouldn’t want to spend my whole career trying to make other people feel better, as it is exhausting to me. I ended up in a career in Human Resources. I also started a pet photography business, as a side employment.

My absolute dream job would still be to help people with disabilities find employment.

I never wanted to be a detective/criminology or work with gruesome things. I don’t like violence and I would probably get physically sick and emotionally depressed if I had to work with dead things/people.

As a reminder, I’m Pisces sun/moon/mercury conjunct in 8th house. Square Saturn (2’) and trine Pluto (3’).

I know Natalie Portman has a prominent 8th house, but she is also Scorpio rising so I guess the path was clearer for her as to what she wanted to do with her life. She is considered one of the best Actresses of her generation. Very beautiful too. Makes sense, though. 8th house is about transformations and she constantly "transforms" for her acting career. She has played a pregnant teenager to a cast of Star Wars to a dancing Black Swan...very transformative. Acting is very good 8th house for this reason. Natalie also studied Psychology at Harvard University so she clearly didn't give up her 8th house love with that one lol.

Bruno Mars also has a prominent 8th house. He is transformative, in a way. He went from singing Grenade to That's What I Like and 24k Magic lol. People have also commented that he is like the mash-up of Michael Jackson and a few others (Drake, The Weeknd, old funk artists, etc). I guess that also makes since; the 8th house is about legacy and so in a way he is carrying on a legacy while also transforming it into something new. So, in that case, something to do with carrying on legacies would also be good for an 8th house native. Maybe a family restaurant or sport that you can pick up and carry on?

Prince Harry also has a prominent 8th house. I don't know what he does for a living besides being rich, but he's rich from his family so I guess that can help in seeing what "careers" 8th house people can have lol. Inheritance and legacy lol...

I think with 8th house you can really do anything since it's all about transformations. You could be an actor, a singer, a psychologist, a restauranteur, an entrepreneur, maybe do something in sports...really anything. It's all about transformations so there is really no set thing that will fit the 8th house as the 8th house is just so multi-dimensional. Psychology and philosophy is just the general standard thing that everyone naturally thinks of when they hear "8th house" but the 8th house can really go after anything they want since the 8th house is so committed and obsessively passionate to whatever it is they love. The biggest problem with 8th house people is that they don't know what they love the most...They love everything because they love wondering and thinking about everything so that is often why they struggle with a career. But if you know what you love most, follow it and stick with it. No one can really tell you what career would "match up" with any house placement. It's too general.

Medicine, surgery, nursing, or social work. I work with many Scorpios, Virgos, Cancers, and people with strong 8th, 6th, and 4th houses in healthcare.

I've also known quite a few Scorpios and 8th house folk who worked in law enforcement and in the military.
