WTF? Who the heck says you shouldn't be keeping secrets? Sounds like manipulative people with issues respecting boundaries. Not everyone needs to know everything anyway Oo You have a right to privacy.

Next time someone says that to you, tell them to describe to you exactly how they have sex with their partner and what they feel or even how they use the toilet. I'm sure they'll be reluctant! Then just tell them they're obviously doing something wrong if they don't want to tell you...

It is not as if I prefer to keep everything secret. I just don't reveal it "willy-nilly" to those who would not or could not understand. I am often an open book on this site, among people who understand our archetypal energies/astrology/spirituality. With people in a mundane "work" situation however, I would not be one to jump on the "bashing men" at lunch train (aka complaining about my significant other to all who are in ear range). I also don't reveal things to relatives who would not understand. This makes me seem close-lipped or reluctant to share.

I observe people. People who are genuinely interested in me and my life (who also have some measure of integrity and character) who take the time to ask me well considered questions (as opposed to blurting out prying gossipy questions)are rewarded with rich answers.

In relationships I am fully honest with my partner. The only things he will not know are the things he fails to take the time to explore and listen to me describe. I will even say, "I will tell you more about my experience/relationship with *person/thing* at whatever point you want to discuss it." It is NOT an "oh, well you never asked" situation.

The only things I keep "private" are things I am embarrassed about. Like if I waited too long to change the sheets or take a shower and didn't want anyone to find out. My motto is not to do anything you wouldn't want the whole world to know about. (Unless you are plotting some ReLoveution and hiding it from Darth Vader or something.)

It is easier for me though. I am a Venus/Uranus conjunction, and also a Mars/NN in Aqua in the first so "things things that I don't want the whole world to know about" are a much smaller list than most would embrace.

I don't mind shocking people.
I kind of like it.

I wasn't always intentionally that way. I grew tired of people calling me "mysterious". I wanted to open up, and have those girl friends that you share a lot with. So I started to open up, only to be reminded of why I never did that. Got ditched by someone who had used all these prett words on me, and pretended to care, as my life was going from "worse" to "the stuff of nightmares". Before that, I got a target on my back, high school bullying style, in an online community. That messed me up, because it took me right back to school where I was so quiet and polite. This time, I got angry. It was too much. And my life tanked due to my sister getting abusive, over her husband (my sexual harasser), and my mother becoming an alcoholic. I got the brunt of all of it.

I have Sun and Mercury in the 8th House. I don't know if I would call it secret but I keep certain things private. It's call boundaries and building trust.

My life is not for display or lurkers or people who want to judge and gossip.
Privacy is different from secrets. We have secrets, secrets isn't exclusive to the 8th House it's a human thing.
