Temper tantrums are usually a Cancer,Leo ,Aries and Scorpio thing ime.

Sun in Aries for me is the worst with their temper. Because Sun is also exalted here, it just seems "extra". I just don't approve of their displays( even though I have Asc in Aries)

If they have an additional square from Moon or Mars. Yikes!!!

I'm Sun in Aries and Moon/Venus square Mars, and I didn't have temper tantrums until my life started falling apart and people were attacking me (and responsible for it). I was really even-tempered before that, only having the occasional outburst.

Worst temper has been Taurus, when they let loose, or my mum who was a Sadge. I was strangled by a Sadge man who was an angry person in general, when I was small.

I think that Mars ruled people have to consciously make an effort to count to ten before responding.

Their anger/passion is so part in parcel of their personality-mostly Asc/Sun/Moon in either Mars/Pluto ruled signs or in aspect to them

And even those with Sun/Asc midpoint,Sun/Moon midpoint or Asc/Moon midpoint conjunct Mars or in a Mars ruled sign, have to watch being easily irritable and having a low fuse.

These people tend to express anger/passion/ aggression on a daily basis. Its a way of life.

But for those who are not so readily acquainted with Mars energy, the tension they unwittingly create makes others nervous and edgy around them.

I am one. Mars aspects my Moon and conjuncts the Moon/Mercury midpoint. And Mars opposes the Asc.

The Taurus temper is ime the "bucket full" temper i.e it is usually stored up in such huge reserves that when it explodes, the reservoir is empty.

But Taurus is not at home with anger nor is it something they are comfortable expressing. Its usually after being long provoked /pushed or having something they strongly value threatened.

If the Taurus has Moon in Scorpio or Aries placements however. Or a lot of Pluto/Mars action on their Sun/Moon, then they can be unusually temperamental and prickly.

My younger Taurus sister is an example of this. Her Uranus in Sag opposes Mars in Gem and Mars is conjunct her Sun/Moon Midpoint and Moon/Mercury midpoint. Pluto in Scorpio opposes her Sun from the 4th house angle. And her Venus is in Aries conjunct Jupiter on Aries.

She is a very tense Taurus and in many instances behaves similarly to a typical Aries. And she gets on well with my cousin who has Aq/Cap cusp square Moon Aries/Taurus.

Taurus does have a temper. Can't argue with that. But i think its a lot more frequent ime with Aries-especially the "throws toys out of the cot" response.

Anger wasn't a part of my personality, though. Aside from the terrible twos that everyone goes through. Hell, when I was in the womb, I didn't kick. Mum said I just turned over and sent a little ripple across her stomach.

I was such peaceful kid and younger person. It wasn't until my thirties that I really, truly, experienced anger on a regular basis, and for valid reasons. My life has been decimated this decade. Just when I think things will be okay for a while, well... they aren't. that's all I'll say, because I honestly can't believe that this is my life. What has been happening. I haven't been talking about it to anyone over the past two months, because I am just gobsmacked.

I have a Cancer sun and I always say I am a walking talking toddler. My temper is terrible. I don't have an Aries moon but a Libra moon. My dad and my Grandpa were Aries and I tend to love Aries but yes , their tempers can be a little scary even to me sometimes.

Sun is exalted in Aries. Mars is dignified there.

The only credible answer to this type of question is what planets are in detriment or fall there: Venus and Saturn. But that isn't about them being 'pretty bad' but that Aries is not one of the two most natural signs for their expression.

@teasel.

You are a rare breed of Mars/Moon square that isn't excitable and passionate.

Most I know are touchy and irritable. Very sensitive to any type of tense atmosphere which ironically enough, makes people tense to be around them.

So if you see yourself as "meek and mild", my next question is "do others?". Coz if they are walking around you in eggshells or antagonizing you, you might be oblivious to Mars in you or projecting.

Coz i don't think Mars remains quiet and docile for long.

Oh, I am touchy and irritable *now* - but I got this way by what I've been through.

Mystic, it might have been transits, but it was also people.

I'm on the Aries/Taurus cusp and have Mercury, Venus and Juno in Aries. I'm female but I like to be the one to reach out first and I like to push a relationship along. I can be bossy and assertive in relationships which obviously men don't like. It's difficult to not be this way since it is just a natural thing for me. I also don't let men push me around in relationships which is a good thing.

However, my dad and grandma have Moon in Aries which I'd say is worse than my Mercury, Venus and Juno in Aries. My Capricorn moon butts heads with their abrasive Aries Moon.

Aries moon is a very conflicting placement for the moon, especially for women from what I've observed.

It seems they tend to have a volatile relationship with their mother to begin with - either their mother competed with them in someway or lacked a stable nurturing environment.

But people find Aries moon magnetic and I think it is because of their impulsiveness, they truly don't think things out - they just act on their ego/emotions. This is refreshing - especially to someone like me who is a Pisces moon in the 3rd house - full of nebulous "what ifs?"

Sorry not very familiar on "critical degrees." So can't comment on that part.

Maybe I'm just sensitive to other facets in my progressed. I should look deeper @ it.

Sorry, it wasn't clear to me that you were asking about your progressed chart.

My internal self is not feeling harmonious. I wondered if the Aries might be some reason. As well my 6th house or is Cancer. Maybe the moodiness. I'm more impetuous, accident prone (generally I'm bad anyway) and quick to disagree. (Mercury).

Honestly, I'm burning out on how we have such harsh energies in life. I'm a Libran MC. I want a smooth sail on my waters.

It is just as likely, if not more so, that what you are experiencing is from transits. Progressions are very subtle and result from a slow natural progression of planets from their starting place. Transits are not so subtle and cover much longer arc segments during your lifetime. Let's look at those ...

If your Asc is in early/mid-Sagittarius that is a declination of about 22.5° south. Pluto is now 21S39, so it would be in transit parallel your Asc. Pluto 19CAP09 is also in transit conjunct your natal Mercury; semi-sextile your natal Moon 19AQU53.

Those are enough to create a sense of struggle for power/control in a process of personal transformation (Asc - identity, personal effectiveness), change of beliefs and mindset (Mercury), and mood (Moon).

Those are enough to explain what you are describing.

Again, progressions deal in movements of planets in a slow natural progression from degree to degree, sign to sign. If you can look back and see when this current experience began and it was in the last year or two, then that points far more to Pluto's transits.

Yes, you got it. Pluto can relate to the loss and letting go even with our furbabies. It is just a process and will pass. Our best aim is to continue growing through it and find more of our inner power, but that often does not happen until the latter half or even the tail end of such a transit. Sometimes we just survive it and give ourselves a gold star when it's done.
