I have been friends with two cap risers and one I had a fling with.

One is a cancer and the other an aquarius, the aquarius is arrogant and thinks he is a like a guru but I blame that on him been an aquarius with venus in sag and moon in aries LOL. I did fall for him.

Your correct. Once you get close to them they start to display there soft side.

The Arrogance side comes from:

a)The perception of people taking the easy route too things and getting it done the lazy way.

b)Working hard and not getting appreciated for it.

Its best if a Cap ASC. has someone they admire or respect within sight to keep them in check.

That way they realize not everyone is dumb and lazy and they also have there own challenges to face.

I'm technically enrolled in two universities at the same time.

One has a crap reputation when it comes to Engineering, but has an overall better reputation.

The other one only has a good reputation only for a few programs, Engineering being one of them. They cut back on every department for the exception of Faculty of Engineering in the 90's. Everything has been restored but good luck repairing the reputation.

It takes 100 yrs for an institution to build a reputable reputation it takes just 4 yrs of bad decisions to destroy it!!.

Anyway, the university with the better Engineering reputation keeps me in check.

I do get ahead of myself at the other university time-to-time thought and get easy A's.

But thats when I revert to the other one and it keeps me in check.

I actually was referring to a friend whom I confronted recently. They have Cap Asc. I told them the exact thing i wrote there because they are becoming super itchy to deal with. Never a kind word and prone to underhanded insults

Oh well I know cap ascendant and theyd probably reply that. yes we're annoying and mad all the time. some of us more wittier and humorous than the others so its less offensive.

Though all signs and placements get roasted, and sometimes it's obvious a vendetta against a specific person with the sign (especially when it becomes so universally bad to the point of being contradictory on why the sign is negative).

Good and bad assessments -- especially related to rising signs come mostly from comparisons in which others seem to be having more fun in life or who seem to have it more together. Entirely irrelevant ultimately, because what really matters is that we get comfortable with ourselves and how we operate.

Thats interesting my older sister is Capricorn sun, Gemini Asc.

While I'm the Gemini sun, Cap rising.
I'm the youngest so I learned to be more responsible because of my sister.

But..as time went on I became the more responsible and serious one. Also I'm male she's female.

About people with this placement, IDK I think it depends on how the natives handle it, and how it plays with the rest of their chart.

I have cap asc conj 1st house cap saturn (and other capricorn placements, including sun).

I've met quite a few people with cap asc and often I get along well with them, as long as they have the more positive traits of cap energy - or what I consider to be *positive*. Being around those who don't, well it's like looking in a mirror and see what I'm capable of, and frankly it's not a good feeling.

I married another cap asc (libra sun, cap asc). Our ascendants conjunct. He's one of the loveliest people I've ever met. Lol as he ages, he places more importance on proper etiquette, order and such. I tease him relentlessly about that. It's cute.

Off the top of my head. All very very creative Cap Risings. I appreciate Cap Rising a lot, but I do have Venus in Capricorn. :-)
