I think that they all have the intuitive characteristics on a certain level when they deal with the world and all of its people. They feel out the environment they’re in. They are usually good at feeling out the vibes of people around them when they're interacting. They are more on the defense side when they’re meeting people for the first time. It doesn’t mean that they are all insecure or reluctant towards everybody, they are just more attentive and careful/cautious when dealing with a new environment. They can also appear shy at first sometimes or quiet. They just prefer to observe most of the time and see. As a cancer rising, I know for a fact that we’re not all shy as we can seem. Earlier in my life I was definitely shy in new environments and when meeting new people, but now with time and experience in life and more evolving, I guess you can say that you can better some initial characteristics that you had depending on how you decide to live and your choices and actions. Ultimately, it’s up to you! Also, I have mars in the first house of appearances so that can help to be more “outgoing” “expressive” person! For the difference between the water signs, what I know is that Pisces seems like a sign that is always in a “draydreaming” mode. Also, they are very “chameleon-like” as they are a mutable sign and can be extremely intuitive and have a big imagination! Scorpio is, and I quote from the site Cafeastrology :
