I’m kind of wondering if the Vedic ascendant is the more prominent one for eyes now... because I do look more Venusian than Martian.. my sister looks aggressive and energetic and her ascendant is Scorpio... my gaze is like relaxed and passive Ascendant/Lagna is the body. I wonder why I thought moon signs. Moon signs is the mind and emotions. Usually the emotions are expressed through the eyes but at the same time if you are giving people a vibe via through your ascendant that must be the prominent factor... IP: Logged |

I really tried to get into this vedic astrology thing. But nope, I don't think its the "real" astrology, not in my case anyway.I have virgo asc. Moon in gemini. According to vedic I have leo asc and taurus moon, like whuut?! Does not fit me at all. I'm true virgo asc, zero Leo in me.I have watched a video about vedic virgo asc though, and its so detailed and spot on, it had so many insights I hadn't heard from western astrology. Well on YouTube the famous KRS channel uses the Lahiri system and that on Astro.com is the second option down under Sidereal. There are a lot of sidereal options so that’s why you should use the right one. In one system I’m a Scorpio ascendant and eh. I just think you should go with the right system. If you find one system works better for you than another, stick to that. But at the end of the day it’s you who needs to live with the reality of who you are and how you see everyone else to be...Also, although the ascendant is the vibe of which sign you are that you give off to other people... with traits they can pick up most easiliest. Is easiliest a word, I don’t know. But really there’s a whole chart overlay. Not only are you a Virgo Rising but you are also a second house Libra, 3rd house Scorpio and so forth. Thats all o be taken into consideration. I actually found a treasure online just last night. Something I haven’t seen on the internet In my many years of studying the two astrologies. It’s all of the sign meanings per house described perfectly clearly. You can google ascendant Leo Vedkund and it will tell you EVERYTHING about you. And then you can google Ascendant Virgo Vedkund and that will tell you everything about you as well. It’s up to you to decide which fits you more. There’s also planets and aspects. Another thing I should mention... we don’t alwasy see ourselves as we are. Sometimes you need to get feedback from other people to really get the scoop.
I asked my parents how they saw me growing up and they said I was always the cautious one . I would never see myself as cautious. I was just plunging into situations as I normally would. And to me I didn’t see what they saw. They saw my taurus ascendant. But then again I am talking a lot now and that could be my gemini Rising in tropical. But at the same time I’m not really talking abljt a multitude of topics, mainly one interest which is mlre Taurus. Fixed focus.
Anyways In comparison to my aries ascendant sister who they said would jump into situations and act like she knew what was going on and she was more confident in the unknown and she is to this day mlre brave and independent then me. It’s too much specifics to get into but she does seem Leonine her life is leonine. Mine is intellectual but secluded.. there’s a lot of variations at play.IP: Logged |

you look just like an old friend of mine, not sure of what her nakshatra wasi'm an aries moon in western, pisces in vedic (revati nakshatra) someone mentioned ascendant **** i have a libra rising (venus and ketu conjunct, moon opposite mercury sextile and uranus sextile and in placidus pluto is in my first house) in western and virgo rising (chitra nakshatra) in vedic i tend to only take pics when someone asks so i have a few feeling like **** /just woke up selfies

To be honest, I don't really align with the Moon to physical appearance theory. It just doesn't actually work out in practice and observation. To be overly anecdotal for a moment: I'd be a total hotty physically speaking (wait, can dudes be classified as "hotties"?) if it did, and I'm not. (Early Libra Moon somewhat widely conjunct late Virgo Saturn with Saturn somewhat closely sextile angular Scorp Uranus and widely square Sag Neptune, and widely trine Cap Sun). I definitely look Leo more than anything else, except for height, but that is correlated with the Sun being in Capricorn and inconjunct the ASC degree (me spine is weird, and I'm genetically missing [?] an entire lumbar vertebrae). i think it's more of a vedic thing to consider moon sign with appearance and it's tied to nakshatra rather than just sign, your moon would fall into virgo probably hasta or uttra phalguni being in early libra in vedic haven't seen you to judge whether you look like either of those nakshatras but just throwing that out there 🤷♀️ 1st house still counts for appearance in vedic as well

So I have heard Dumuzi. Whether or not one uses the Vedic or Tropical system, and using different labels, shouldn't the core essence more or less stay the same? So Vedic/Sidereal Virgo and Tropical Libra, should have similarities between them? Kind of makes one wonder about the ole Shakespeare line, "What's in a name?" IP: Logged |
