I absolutely think astrology is a much better generational marker than Boomer/X/Millennial arbitrary distinctions. My mother in 44 and I in 64 could both be described as boomers, but the way boomers are typically thought of, portrayed in the media as don't apply to either of us. A Boomer was there for the Summer of Love, rioting in Chicago in 68, and at Woodstock. My mother was taking me to the bus stop for kindergarten...

I think Pluto as a generation with Uranus as a sub generation designator is a good start at the correct approach.
