Hello everyone!! How does the ascendant act when it is aspected by many planets? My ascendant is capricorn and have conjuncion with saturn (most influential I suppose) but then have sextile pluto, sextile moon, sextile mercury. How do these aspects combine with the ascendant? Would this mean that I show myself in different ways? thanks! IP: Logged |

Sounds strange but...yes. All work together in ways subtle or overt - depending on the situation.I like Saturn on the Asc- instinctively self responsible. But Pluto sextile adds emotional depth to your external outlook and approach. You are not oblivious to the subtle. Mercury and Moon add intelligence and ability to express oneself appropriately in situations. Most Saturn in 1st house people without the softer aspects supporting the 1st house, often appear like robots lol. They can be socially awkward and/or overwhelmed by social interaction. You luckily have the more social planets Moon and Merc added to the assertion of your personality (1st). Well at-least the part that people see. If Moon/Merc or Venus aspects Sun/Moon or Sun/Moon midpoint, then the 1st house is indeed a good representation of what is going on beyond it. IP: Logged |

wow Aries, excellent explanation, thanks for your input. The strangest thing is that despite the dominant saturn I have, I do not consider myself responsible, I even have problems for initiatives and goals. We will see what happens when Saturn returns and passes through my house 1 .. Pluto also must travel this house. I suppose there will be changes. Thanks Aries as always excellent! <3

Hey Aries...what happens when your ASC is part of a kite? Meaning, the ASC is part of the partial grand sextile (with Moon & Mercury) opposed by Jupiter at the base (Moon-Mercury-Jupiter in grand trine).IP: Logged |

I have many aspects to my Virgo Asc. 7 planets plus Chiron!Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Saturn, Pluto, Jupiter, and Chiron. I have no idea how all this 8 interacts with my poor Asc lol. But I have read about Neptune aspecting the Asc, and how it causes peoples perception of you, how they see what they wanna see! (neptune=illusions). I definetely can myself see the effects of Saturn and Pluto. But, well they do aspect my Sun too so.. ok I don't know which is what energy haha. Infact I have many aspects in my chart since I have many planets in the angular houses.(Ic/Mc) IP: Logged |

I have not read much about Kite formations. I tend to break down aspects into sextiles and trines. Then I read them separately. Then find a link to energies. The Asc is the head of our personality. It is what peaks out essentially. Moon-Mercury are "speak my heart/mind" aspects and with expansion influencing Jupiter, there is a need to be heard by as many people as possible. As you are so sure that what you have to say is profound. I see this aspect to the Asc as a confident speaker or one who is intellectually well-versed. However the Jupiter opposition does suggest an inability to see another's point of view. At times you can be engaging, open minded and tolerant. But at other times you can be so convinced in the "rightness" of your point if view, that you can appear judgmental, preachy and self righteous (that's the opposition effect) Also the moody Moon is further enlarged by the Jupiter connection. So as you feel, so will your interaction with the outside world influence this. So most people will have to first be clear about your feelings(Moon) before asking your opinion. As your mood affects your reasoning ability(Mercury) and that comes out loud and clear (Jupiter)- especially when all is interacting on the Asc. Have you looked at midpoints? In my case for instance my Asc is = Moon/Mercury midpoint. So what I feel and think comes across in my body language. And most people think me articulate (Mercury). But they also know that I am moody(Moon). IP: Logged |
