I honestly find —that each time I delve into Astrology too deeply... I temporarily lose my sanity. If that’s how you would word it. It started when I became obsessed with the sign Scorpio. And then different signs. And then I read up on my current transits and saw that I have Chiron Square Saturn, Moon square Neptune and venus & mercury square Pluto. All transiting.
And then I got curious... so I decided to read into what these transits mean.
I read up Chiron Square Saturn and people losing close bonds and their lives shattering.. moon square Neptune and feeling viticimized... this that, so forth...
and I’ll be honest with you, on some level this did influence me.
And that alone tells you how dangerous astrology can be.
And I felt interested. The heavens are telling me this and this is happening so that’s why I’m feeling this and this and then I started noticing problems that weren’t there before and now I’m convinced my life is in shambles. When actually right now I have a fantastic job, a family who loves me and some good penpals. Which unfortunately because I never had that college experience and since my friends moved on upon going to high school, I’m left with one or two best friends and a bunch of pen pals because there’s no one else who values me because to them I’m living in the past or maybe they found more entertaining people. Who knows what. I don’t pretend to understand their logic.
Anyways I’m really confused right now. And I do have a history of mental illness but I also have a history of astrology...
So this post what just my way of warning all of you of the dangers of studying imaginary concepts too strong. You can lose your sense of reality and make Crazy assumptions which have no basis and really ruin things. So be warned.
Love DS,the astrology addict

People born my year (1992) have Chiron in Leo and Saturn in Aquarius so that means the two are opposite each other. I have Chiron at 2 Leo and Saturn at 17 Aquarius, so they're too far apart to have an impact, but I am sure people with a closer opposition have seen it manifest as the same or wise than the square aspect.

A good example would be my ex who has Chiron opposite Saturn almost exact. He lost his mom to breast cancer in 2014. To have that as a natal aspect is difficult since it stays with you throughout your life. At least the transit will pass in time.

I should also mention that the transit moon aspects are hardly worth worrying about since the moon moves so fast. Transit Venus will square your Pluto once a year as will transit Mercury, so every year you'll have that to deal with. Just do what you've done every year before when trying to deal with this short but difficult transit. As for transit Chiron square natal Saturn, Chiron is currently in Aries and hasn't been in that sign since the 60's, so depending on your age you might have never experienced transit Chiron square your natal Saturn before which meand that since this is the first time you're experiencing this transit you might experience negative things since this could be seen as a negative and difficult transit, but it could also provide you with a great opportunity to become resilient to tragedy and learn to look tragedy square in the eye and say "f*ck you" and overcome it. I am currently experiencing transit Pluto square my natal Venus and this transit is wreaking absolute havoc on my love life. Transit Saturn is also transiting my 7th and has been conjunct my natal moon for months too. I totally understand the pain and disappointment you might be feeling when it comes to your emotional life. Just know that this too shall pass, as all transits, good and bad, always do.

The key is to understand it is subjective, fluid, and ever changing. It can be highly complex, and it can be too much information for some to organize.

But if one's mental health is affected, I don't think it's necessarily the fault of the subject one is studying, anymore than it is the fault of the person.

But if one were to feel crazy studying something, logically, one should desist. And of course, if someone has mental health issues, then, again, of course they should avoid topics that disturb them.
Just like if you've got a diabetic, you don't give them sugar.

Not that it's exactly the same, but in the past, when studying math, I did go cross eyed and feel stupid

Your post is interesting and there is true in it.

As above, so below, what energy you're sending it will back to you.

Astrology surely shows us our path in this life, but we have to act, and if we do pay too much attention to every little detail and worry much about it, we can activate negative energy and make blockades.

I figured it out and really now trying to control it, I'm passionate astrology lover and it's hard, but have to make balance. Also the thing with Tarot, it also can f..k you up, especially if you ask about emotions..

I've mostly stopped paying attention to astrology, including my transits, because I know I have big ones going on, and more to come in the future. After the past eight years or so, it all terrifies me.

In the earlier years of my studies and practice I could get obsessive. The last several years I've had to learn how to switch it off when it comes up at inappropriate times (such as analyzing someone's features at a party, wondering what their rising sign could be).

You need to be pretty grounded to practice astrology without getting lost in it. That is where my Earth heavy chart and grounded, practical nature helps out.

What you're describing is something like a 'me too' tendency of over-personalizing or over-attributing to astrological factors. This can happen with those who have challenging Neptune/Pisces influences, and take a Neptunian (rather than Jupiter or Uranian) approach to astrology. My birth chart has Venus and Mars opposite Neptune, so I had to learn years ago to see these things in proportion, and then have more lessons on it later.

But there are bad sources for transit interpretation that are best to just avoid. I was just talking to someone on reddit about this today. This is why I recommend only Robert Hand's [i]Planets in Transit[/b] for understanding transits. It is the only one I've ever read that I would use as a reference or study guide because of its down-to-earth humanistic tone.

It can definitely be an issue. I think Ami stays away from transits because of it.

transits should be seen as energy pattern not as prognostic tools. the same transit on different people (even if their chart are the same) would affect them differently depending on how much they have worked on their own stuff and incorporated lessons from the birth chart.

I was fired from my job when transiting Uranus was in trine to my Jupiter exact. you would not expect that event but goodies from heaven... but the goodies can mean many things...

so, I do not think too much of them as telling me of the specific manifestation, which tend to be very mysterious and aligned with what your soul need (not necessarily your ego)

Apparently, a transit is making me more prone to being in a relationship, which I am normally happy being single. Stupid transits!

Yes I know it's dangerous and we can loose the sense of reality, I felt that too. But it's too late now ! And I love astrology so much
