Do I see the signs the same way as they see themselves? Are signs able to pick up traits in each other or are they so attuned to their natural rhythmic ways that they don't notice each other as much? Or is there a conscious understanding of self and other at all times? The reason I asked is because I don't see myself the way that others see me. Are they projecting their synastrical (made up word) version of me onto me? Or is synastry more privately felt and they really see me as my chart is? Is their observation my energy from seeing my persona completely my own?

I really feel that I used to be more open into observing others' characters. Lately I'm ego centric. I noticed that everyone to an extent is driven by the ego and that everyone has to come to explain the piece with their piece involved. Not too often are people subjective towards situations without the me element involved. And if they are, its from their observations reacting... And that's from their experiences or a reflection of how they view themselves. Its all very complex and I'm super tired right now so that's my basic inquiries. Who sees who in what way and why?

IF astrology is involved, then I'd think it would have something to do with Neptune and maybe Mercury in both the perceived and perceiver.

No one looks the same to all people around them. On top of social conditioning, there's circumstantial in which things like authority (or lack thereof), work conditions, and other such things will make a big difference. The most extreme version I know of is that a guy with long hair was a master of making his hair look short (using a hat) and how long his hair appeared caused people to make very different assumptions about him (and those who thought his hair was short had their minds blown when he revealed the true length of his hair), and that's based on one mere trivial factor. Other things factor in, such as mood: both of the a person being observed, and of the observer.

Generally speaking, if you ask about someone who only knows the person from church, the bar, the job (with likely different perceptions based on whether they're the boss or employee or co-worker of said person), and the like (and then the parents, the kids, and the extended family of the said person) you could get very different descriptions of what the person is like. And many people work hard on the first impression they make because they know it will affect how they're perceived after by those they make a first impression on.

Interesting enough, I know some people even vary in how they see themselves. One extreme case swung back and forth (with nothing in between) in thinking she was perfect and that she was garbage. She typically didn't keep friends long because of this.
