From my blog post I just put up at ... http://kannonmcafee.wordpress.com/2018/07/24/july-27-lunar-eclipse/ ... I'm including the whole text here ...This will be a Blood Moon so called because light refracting off Earth’s atmosphere makes it appear reddish in color. More importantly, it is a tight, long Lunar Eclipse with some aspects of great tension accompanying it. A Full Moon is a time when body fluids and blood are more active, when emotions are more outward and reactive, less latent. With this being an eclipse, it is especially important, because the luminaries align along the ecliptic in a way that places them with the Nodes, which are points of direction and purpose. So this is not just a blood moon full moon, but a very important eclipse. Let’s look at a chart of it. I’ve included the declination positions of everything in the center of the chart wheel so you can see how tight the Sun and Moon alignment is. As you can see the Moon is joined by Mars — and a t-square is created by Uranus as stem planet to the cross-bar of Moon-Mars and Sun. Moon and Mars conjunct is an influence towards impulsivness, anger, rage, and volatile temperament overall. Opposite the Sun these are magnified. All those square to Uranus get amplified across society through electronic communications. Uranus amplifies the whimsy and impetuousness of the Moon’s basic feeling nature; it can amplify Mars and Sun’s energies into an irrational rebellion against sane order. As in an eclipse, these so aligned with the Lunar Node points mean that such irrational, volatile energies if acted out could be detrimental to effective leadership, but especially to egoistic leaders (Sun-North Node in Leo). This alignment of energies can inflame unreasonable pride and egoism in leaders to an irrational degree. The South Node shows us past, familiar tendencies that may not have been let go of completely, tendencies that remain unresolved. In this case, that means impulsiveness, anger — even hate (Moon-Mars with South Node). With fixed signs involved — Sun in Leo, Moon-Mars in Aquarius, Uranus in Taurus — stubborn inflexibility could be a large part of the problem. The government officeholders and military leaders of the world’s nations need to be held in check now by clear, resounding messages that reason and rationality must have the final say. This means the next several months are a time of potential tremendous volatility, over-reactions, and regrettable impulses across the globe. We need not sit by passively and allow that to happen. We can and should draw in our own emotions as individuals to a place of clarity and contemplation leading up to this eclipse. Now is the time for awareness of self and humanity so that the interests of human beings and humanity at large remains focused on what we all have in common in spite of our histories or whatever list or category of differences we could focus on. It is a test of our willingness to use anger and discontentment as justifications for far-reaching decisions. It is a test of temperament. It is a test of leadership. It is quite possible the leaders of some nations will fail it. We need to be clear-eyed and honest in how we view them and not get caught up in escalating rhetoric that does no one any good. What humanity needs is more peace and cooperation, less agitation and militarism. I ask that you meditatively co-create with us a peaceful benevolent outcome for all not just in the days leading up to this eclipse, but ongoing over the next several months. We can do this daily in our own time and in our own way. Thank you. ------------------ "Drift like a cloud and flow like water, seeing that all life is a magnificent illusion, a playing of energy, and there is absolutely nothing fundamentally to be afraid of." -- Alan Watts Soul Stars Astrology by The Declinations Guy Expert Rectification IP: Logged |

Thanks so much for sharing this Kannon - it's such an interesting time.On a personal level, my natal chart and the charts of so many of those around me are being absolutely pounded by this eclipse. I love that message overall about finding co-operation - in the UK our government is in chaos over Brexit - the quintessential expression of fixed natures and stubbornness. People on all sides have stuck their heels in and are refusing to engage on others' terms, leading to anger, resentment and an absolute lack of progress. I expect the PM will resign soon, and there may be yet another election - uranus tag-teaming mars for unexpected and dramatic action. I truly hope people learn to rise up and resist the drama despite themselves. it really will not be easy for them though. IP: Logged |

I have booked an hourlong tarot reading on this date. I have some questions on the course of my life right now, and want to see if there are some things that may change later this year. 2018 has been a challenge for me so far.IP: Logged |

This one feels😁... Ive ac conj sun in Leo 10,42 and 10,47 degree+17,32 and 17,31 N in Declination... My N moon in gemini 6,49 degree 19,18 N in Declination. Also my N pluto is on N declination 19,19, My venus have the Declination 18,34 N.Everything feels strange. I ve always want control in my life but this time I feel I not have control.. Ive been so tired because I have to be so observant about the people I ve around me. People I think I could trust on shows just for time on a strange way not so good and ok. Just now I believe more on faith . Everything just now show me the truth? or not the truth? The most important for will be to be quiet and more ( If I can) observant and fokus to make a good work. I thought I saw Mars in the sky last night, right under the moon Well this week has been everything you described here, Kannon. I've been to the point of wanting to snap and quit my job several times this week, and I've felt frustrated at home, very burnt out over all, and yet also mixed with moments of extreme happiness and sense of direction. The eclipse squares my MC/IC axis (8 Taurus / Scorpio), and the eclipse and nodes are conjunct the composite MC/IC axis and nodes of my relationship, ! actually the angles for the eclipse are aligned with my composite chart, AC 28 Libra/ DC 28 Aries IC 3 Aqua conjunct NN 7 Aqua MC 3 Leo conjunct Chiron 4 Leo conjunct SN 7 Leo IP: Logged |

This Lunar Eclipse is squaring my 3 Taurus Moon (ruling my 3rd and 10th) and opposes my partner's 3 Scorpio Venus (ruling his Libra Sun and his 2nd and 9th). So a nice synastric Fixed Grand Cross with a ton of eclipse energy to work with.Woo-hoo!!!! It'll be interesting to see how it plays out. IP: Logged |

Great post, Kannon, as always.Just found out today I am pregnant, and that I also may be having a miscarriage. Won't know for a few more days, but the upcoming Solar Eclipse conjuncts my Moon...This was all shocking news as my husband and I were not trying. IP: Logged |

Thanks! I don't know if its worthy of a congrats yet as docs are considering miscarriage a high possibility, but I still appreciate it.Crazy timing with this lunar eclipse too. It's funny. I'm very lunar influenced, but don't really have much Cancer in my chart. IP: Logged |

bananaz: Not sure what to say, but I hope it works out for you. I started to say congratulations too, but I know this is a very personal and dicey situation. Thanks to Mercury retrograde and to the eclipse, yesterday I've talked to a person with whom we are agreed not to communicate anymore. They still love me, but I can't give them what they want. It's so sad, it hurts, I don't want anyone to suffer from such feelings. I wish it could have been different... But I can't make it different. IP: Logged |

^ same, sort of. Had a really vivid dream of me and a man who I considered very important to me. It’s been a really long time since I dreamt of him. He ghosted me a year ago, for reasons unknown. I probably unknowingly hit a nerve.. considering the sensitive cancer he is..IP: Logged |

Had a huge fight with my dad just a few hours before the eclipse. He got super mad at me. And he was right to be!I apologized the day after (yesterday). I was ready for him to hold onto grudge. He is a huge grudge holder with silent treatments. Its horrible. But to my surprice he was open to communication right away! And he preached a little bit etc and I just said " yes I agree you are right" and I was all mature and let him talk. So yeah thats that. I know he is right. I'm too edgy. I start arguments when my family is not agreeing with me. Its my way or the highway. Pluto 3rd oppo mercury-sun. It so so hard to relax and let my family have their own opinions and ways. If they don't agree with me I get so upset and I take it so personally. This has to stop but its so hard to control IP: Logged |

Thanks, Kannon. Turns out it was a miscarriage but for a while there it was scary because I thought I might lose a tube since they thought the pregnancy was ectopic. Now all is good. I feel like the unexpectedness of this opened me up to really wanting a 2nd child more.

Oh yikes. Hope you are feeling okay and recovering well. Miscarriage always sounds like such a big deal, traumatic. My mom miscarried twice before I was born.Sounds like for you it brought you to what you needed to know. Take care of yourself and be well.
