I was a bit out of shape when I was 14-15 years old. Due to eating too much carbs and too little exercising. I quickly got rid of the excess when I was 16 years old during a for me particular uranus-jupiter transit. After that I have pretty muched had the same weight. The thing is, I’m Not at all build like what a stereotypical taurus would be build! I’m a virgo rising. I’m petite 160cm and I weigh between 47-48 kg and have maintained the same weight for 13 years now. I train (gym and running). I love food and I enjoy it. Quality before quantity though. My weakness is chocolate! But since I gym and run, I’m fit. I have a typical virgo hourglass figure. Blessed with small waist and a round bottom and well medium boobs. The forms are on the “right places” so to speak. I could not be happier! I have been living gluten-free for 10 years and that has helped me keep myself in shape for sure as with training. So nope, I’m not a typical taurus girl! The most typical taurus girl I have as a friend, she is taurus rising. My only giveaway as taurus would be my wavy hair! My bone structure is very slender. My hand wrists are so small (like a small 12 year olds). I can,t wear rings made for adult women, not even the smallest (on my ring or middle fingers) or bangles or any bracelets! They slide right off! So small are my wrists! My sun is in 9th house. My venus (ruler of taurus sun) is in aries 8th, conjunct jupiter. One maybe would think “jupiter-venus lots of food?!” Well no, as said chocolate is my weakness . Also I read that, when jupiter is conjunct venus and if also n.node is conjunct jupiter, the n.node will ”harness” the ”bad sides” of jupiter. In my case, its true. So in short yes I’m Taurus sun and mercury but: -virgo asc: slender hourglass type body and add to that gemini stellium. Super health oriented. -saturn oppo moon, can ”restrict” my diet without any problems even though I enjoy food. -venus is in aries mars ruled. mars is in gemini. I’m sure there are more like me, ”slender” and petite taurus people out there?
But isn't having an hourglass figure rather typical for Taurus? I have an hourglass with a very small waist but I attribute it to my Venus aspects. IP: Logged |

Well its usually attributed to virgo of what I have read so far for years. Then how "big" ones booty is and boobs and how easy one gains fat around the stomach etc I can only attribut to "genetics".
Taurus is mostly attributed to "venusian" type of body, like libra. With venusian I think of kate winslet type of body, round forms. Also taureans seem to have big bones (not me though as established before).
I looked at my Taurus rising friends chart closely now. She has Aries sun, venus moon and saturn. Venus conj sun by 1 degree. All in hr 12th. She is a big boned girl. And big face too. Not fat, but big boned. Like Serena and Venus Williams type of body. Strong too, like an ox. Very round shapes. And the only thing she has in taurus is her Rising in Taurus! Mercury is in taurus too though but mercusry is in her 12th too, very far away from her rising degree. She has chiron in libra. IP: Logged |

My sister has Gem rising,Merc in Sco & she is big-boned.I have no idea how that happened She has a stellium in the 6th and perhaps that is it? Coz she is always concerned about her weight

The Taurus Sun people I know look straight out of a 1950s line-drawing astrology cookbook... it’s too much.
I have a thing for Rugby playing chunky type of guys that are more "beefy" than lean tbh. I don't know where that comes from for me but I have also noted that many Taurus moon & Taurus Sun people I know are also into the same type of physique. I have Cancer Moon and I reckon since Moon is exalted in Taurus, we would share similar likes? And perhaps like them, I find meat on bones more comforting? This especially since Cancer is at home on the Moon? I am Aries Asc and I am competitive.I have tried to get that body for myself.But my body is more lean than chunky.I like the way they carry their weight and how(as you so aptly put it lol) it's like its a part of their character. Interesting that you say that as I see Taurus Asc as an appropriate placement for what you have described.Weight/mass(Tau)being a part of their image(Asc). And with Taurus Moon, I think the weight/mass (Tau) they have or on their mate, could be a level of comfort/security for them(Moon)? The Moon is exalted in Taurus and therefore can act typical of Taurus energy. Would Venus in Taurus find weight(Taurus) attractive(Ven) or at least someone with a "well fed" physique? Perhaps I am too active to sit still long enough to acquire that kind of weight? Taurus energy I imagine moves only when it's necessary & can sit still for a long time. My Mom has Taurus Moon & sister has Taurus Sun.With my sister,weight is fast becoming an issue for her whilst conversely with my Mom, weight has never been.

My theory is that because its a slower sign they aren't exactly the most active ...unless other aspects are there.I knew one Taurus lady with Gemini and Aries aspects and she didn't have any weight issues..but then again she wasn't a "pure bred" or "pedigree" Taurus either. I think if there closer to a "pure bred" or "perigee" Taurus ie. a double or triple Taurus they would have weight issues. When I say pedigree Taurus..you read a general astrology book that describes a Taurus individual and then they match everything that the book says. I think its a fine balance..its good to have a little bit of weight but not overboard there's an attractive feature in being in the middle. Its better to have some weight then look like a starving N.Korean that's hardly ever eaten before. I don't know why people always make fun of Taurus because of their weight. It's like the only stereotype about Taurus that and we like food.IP: Logged |

I like having curves and being plump. I'm glad I'm busty too. I wouldn't be happy being boney and scrawny. Are you're right Aries ♈, I find it as part of my character. I hate when I start to loose weight as my breasts shirnk!IP: Logged |

My thoughts exactly there is a bit of difference between being plump and fat, as per my original post of being somewhere in the middle. My Planets ========================================= ☉‘ ♊, ☽ ♈, ASC ♑, ☿ ♊, ¡÷ ♉, ¡ö ♋ , ♃ ♒, ♄ ♏, ♅ ♐, ♆ ♑ IP: Logged |

Lol Aries I can't believe I didn't reply to this back then. I'm a Taurus sun and venus and I've struggled my whole life trying to GAIN weight. Ascendant is in gemini though and they tend to be kind of skinny. The heaviest I've ever been was 133lbs the day I gave birth to my 2nd child. IP: Logged |

In general the fixed signs/the fixed modality are the ones that are usually robust, thick set, bulky, fat, obese, heavily built or however you want to state it. The fixed element/quality tends to a more physically unreduced bodily habitus and taurus is the stereotypic of this mode.IP: Logged |

Wow. That is indeed from a whole other angle. I think age will fill you out. Gemini Asc has got the advantage ime to look forever young.

Reminds me of Barry White song"I've got , staying power..."🎶🙂 The fixed "I'm not moving" MO of this modality. But I noticed that Sag too can get pretty hefty. So perhaps Jupiter there would expand the waistline? IP: Logged |

Sorry I didn't read the replies but I'm a taurus sun and I can never feel skinny enoughNow that I'm at my heaviest I'm starting to acceot it. (Because I'm too lazy to go to the gym) But growing up I remember how much I hated my body and now when I look at the photos. I didn't have a pound extra anywhere. ------------------ my chart https://i.ibb.co/RSfr3HS/Screenshot-20240331-064444-Chrome.jpg IP: Logged |

Retrospective is the best perspective. 👌🏿I noticed that Asc/Sun/Moon in air signs between 3-17Deg, tend to be hefty. And that's because in sidereal, these fall within the the Moon ruled Nakshratas earth sign Tau, Vi, Cap. It is in Tau(esp) that the Moon is exalted i.e. the Moon absorbs a lot and thus tends to get heavier. So this factor is the reason why Taurus energy(more so sidereal) often gets the label of being "fat". Your sidereal Asc is 23 Tau (ruled by Moon Nakshrata)with the Moon/Sat/Ura in direct opposition to it. Moon tends to warp the mind and filters the perspective when aspecting Asc. So feelings and emotions will have an impact on one's self image. And since Moon is in house 7, it is the feelings and and emotions(Moon) of others(7th) that impacts how you feel about yourself (1st). And with Sat/Ura conj your Moon, others can certainly be harsh and erratic with you. Which makes you harsh and erratic to your yourself. Be mindful that relationships with others (this in particular close ones) can have the ability to limit or deeply disturb how you you feel about yourself. IP: Logged |

Yes, this is true. No one believes me when I tell them I'm 40. I'm pretty sure my mother and sister have a gemini ascendant as well and they both look younger. My mom didn't start to look her age until her 60's and it all caught up to her at one time (lifetime of drugs and alcohol). She's a Taurus sun too but has always been super then, along with my sister. IP: Logged |
