I’ve always had this immense inner drive, strength and will to overcome things. I shall complete the task at all costs-is my motto-and it doesn’t matter if I drive myself exhausted and into a “wall” in the process! This is an inner process that people don’t really notice until they accidentally, or not, stand in my way..I can be excessively ruthless and inflexible.

I’ve had a hard time pinpoint this in my chart. Been thinking it’s the Mars on my Ascendant but then Kannon had me researching Mars Parallel Pluto + Ascendant and I’m GUESSING this is where what I mentioned above is coming from?

People can also look at me as if I have “I’m at war” and “I like kinky sex” written in my forehead which presents awkward situations because publicly I’m very private, silent and independent WHICH, seems to annoy them :-/

Still chewing on it, huh? I'd be happy to demonstrate in subsequent posts here what I actually mean about your chart and its Asc.

Of course, I have answered this question over and over about declinations. They are not just important, but indispensable. Just because aspects are not charted for easy viewing on the ancient flat wheel does not mean they are not important.

Just the parallel between Mars and Pluto is significant in your chart. If those planets showed as conjunct in the flat wheel chart do you think you could ignore it? Seeing it there would change things a bit, wouldn't it?

As to the Asc question, no one else here is likely to confirm or support the notion of your Asc actually being back in Leo and parallel Mars and/or Pluto. My experience and insight into declinations is not likely to be matched by anyone here. I call myself The Declinations Guy for a reason. That is not a marketing gimmick.

Many students and astrologers try to incorporate declinations into their work, but without letting it change any other notions they've been working with. Not realistic or practical. Very often new important information changes nearly everything at least a bit. It's no different with astrology. It's like Einstein said about how real learning is often un-learning of what is taken for granted as "common" sense. The added information of declinations educates us about how the Earth and planets actually move, changing our misconceptions.

My expertise in the Asc and rectification is also not likely matched by anyone else here either. You won't find but a trickle of information online (if any) explaining planetary parallels and contra-parallels to Asc, Midheaven, etc. And what astrological interpretive information is posted online varies widely in quality and reliability.

I'd say I've written the book on these things, but it is a book still unwritten. Don't know if I'll ever write it because I prefer to help people get clarity on their own charts and continue refining my methodology. Getting a book published is tedious and bothersome and introduces the whims and desires of publishers. If I ever do it I will probably self publish electronically.

However, my rectification process using your life events could very well bring some clarity on the matter if you are willing to allow me to use it here as an example.

Mars alone conjunct the Asc won't turn Virgo rising into the personality you are describing. Yes, you do also have the aspects of Mercury & Moon square Pluto, but those are more internal and don't explain the level of relentlessness and independent, ruthless attitude you describe. That is a much better match to the fire and fixity of Leo.

The kinds of life events I require for the demonstration are:
- moves of residence (especially out of town/country)
- beginning/ending of jobs
- beginning/ending of relationships -- especially marriage (engagement, separation, divorce).

Other events are secondary and tertiary to those. The only requirements are that an event be timed as precisely as possible (date and hour of day with location if possible). Those timed only to the month can still be useful, but it is best to narrow it down to early/late month or a period of a few days if possible. Further descriptions of details are not necessary, but some added information like marrying a foreigner or the type of job could be helpful.
