i'm all for compromise unless the other person is unreasonable and i don't really hold people to standards or have expectations, not only does it seem unfair but it's pointless when it comes to relationships i just care about connection, when it comes to sex i just care about being able to have a drink together or some **** and have it go ok unless they're attractive then eh

I call Saturn the personal trainer. He gets up in your face and yells til you sort stuff out.Sun-saturn is difficult because the sun is you, and that means a whole lot of Saturn putting obstacles in your way to make you work harder. So, you put the work in, you win your esteem. Boom. I've seen this in action with a few people. Notably, a close buddy who has very strong feelings about the way his father treated him/his family growing up. He says he hates him - but I'm fairly confident that deep down he's desperate to 'win' that love and approval he never had (he's not yet in the right headspace to appreciate this though). Saturn is rough til you pay attention and work with it, not against it. So in that sense, Saturn can bully the sun - especially if it's a close aspect - and that can lead to low self-worth for years if not decades. But stare him straight in the eye and ask what he wants, he'll be Shaun T, coaxing you in the right direction. IP: Logged |

I have Sun square Saturn. My self-worth and self-esteem used to be terrible, but interestingly enough, Saturn's transit through my 1st house and its opposition to my Moon in Gemini helped with overcoming these problems. While my self-worth and self-esteem are now healthy, my self-confidence is still a bit low, which I think is from being a perfectionist and always needing to improve at doing anything and everything. No.... not necessarily insecure, rather highly self-critical. Person has innate sense of authority and the demands of Saturn can feel incredibly limiting, stability and security of character are hard earned. I have the natal placement in my 9th house. Problems arise with wanting to hide myself (and talents) out of fear of xyz, questions regarding authenticity come up a lot! IP: Logged |

That's essentially how I feel and that is why I hate asking for help - the whims of others. I'd rather to everything on my own and if I can't do it yet, I learn how to do it. And even though I do like helping others myself, I dislike it when they start relying on my help too much, because at some point they are doing it out of convenience and that is when I'm out. i'm not reliable enough for people to expect too much i tend to just disappear on people go off do something stupid etc and so on i help when i can or im around to but yeah relying on other people is a nightmare ultimately IP: Logged |

What I noticed with sun/saturn is that they fear rejection to the point where they'd seperate from people they love & everyone just to eliminate any possibility of rejection. This is noticeable in the square. IP: Logged |

This sounds more like Venus square Saturn. But I assume it can also be Sun square Saturn as well. IP: Logged |

I have both sun trine saturn and venus square saturn and I don't really exhibit the fear of rejection/feeling worthy.
I know a friend however, he has saturn square sun and he had to block a woman he really cared for from everywhere just to ensure the dynamics doesn't go anywhere and he get rejected. My sister is saturn conjunct sun, does similar tactics too. Fear of rejection actually stems from not feeling "good enough", hence not being "worthy" so it's the same thing IP: Logged |
