Is anyone currently going through this or has anyone gone through it? If so what were your experiences? I’m about to start this transit and from everything I’ve read it’s sounding pretty intense. IP: Logged |

Neptune is usually slow and gradual and confusing. You might only start to feel the effects later after they've actually happened. It's a trasit of "dissolution" - slowly wipe away what is not strong or needed. It's also an aspect of "truth" in its own way. Dulling the senses to make us follow our heart, or even making something that is not "real" eventually be known. Or help us understand something that is real. This about what it does when it goes through any house. The IC is your core, so there may be subtle changes, or feelings of confusion, uncertainty, a need to "go within" IC can also be our home and where we live. Example, a friend had Uranus transit his IC. I asked him when I saw his chart "are you planning to move? Is something wrong with where you live?" He was surprised and said yes. He was forced to move due to some dangerous, explosive chemical issue underneath the building. With Neptune it could be more "water related", if it's related to where you live.

In my case, it was conjunct Mc. And that was when I did drama at school. It was certainly a lovely time. And then Uranus came along to square the Mc. I got into a car accident. My life got disrupted . Going back to find my groove took time but I did. I think it was Neptune that helped me find an escape from all the stress of "catching up". So for me, I think the transit was a positive. I hated it, because something I wrote for a Creative Writing class didn't feel like *my* work. My therapist didn't understand the big deal and why what I wrote was an issue to me. It just felt like I didn't do my absolute best on the assignment so I wrote something that could have been better than it turned out to be when I turned it in. Later, I dropped the class, which was probably a good thing. My professor in the Creative Writing class assigned memorization quizzes and that's one of my biggest areas of weaknesses. While I don't forget everything, memorizing something word by word is basically impossible for me. Testing me on one of my biggest areas of weakness is basically handing me a sheet of paper and saying, "Here's your punishment for being born with a terrible memory. I hope you enjoy making less than a 20 on these quizzes." On top of that, I was dealing with cognitive impairment issues that legitimately impacted my mental functioning. It was hard to learn anything back then and it took me over 8 hours to complete assignments that took everyone else like 30 minutes to an hour. Now that I've recovered from the cognitive impairment, my memory is still pretty bad, but even with the improvement in my overall mental health, it still feels cruel for me to be tested on something like being able to remember anything word for word. This was a Creative Writing class. This wasn't something like being tested on the Periodic Table of Elements or stuff that needs to be memorized for certain jobs. I had to memorize a short poem and I failed. So, yea, this time in my life was terrible and isolating. Saturn was also transiting my 1st house at the same time Neptune was conjunct my IC and I've never been the same since. In some ways, this is a good thing. In others, it's an on-going process of recovery. Neptune was also conjunct my IC when I had this bizarre dream. It was the most vivid dream I've had so far in my entire life. I was on a planet with a red sky, grass, and these red lily-pad flowers. A talking dinosaur approached me and she said, "It's time." Time? Time for what? I was too busy freaking out to listen to her so I woke up not long after that. The closest I'll ever get to having an answer on this topic is Saturn's association with time and Saturn's placement in Scorpio in relation to my chart at the time of the dream. Saturn was conjunct my Ascendant when I had this dream. IP: Logged |

Yes, when I went through it in the mid-late 70s it accompanied numerous moves and my entry into grade school, as well as heightened pressures on me to have a formal religious profession of faith rooted in my parents' fears. The lessons relate to insecurities and trust issues with family members or personal support system, and the spiritual as more important than attachment to physical location for connection or roots. Neptune dissolves the (human ego) attachment to material definitions or locations for how home and family are defined. You may have to learn to be at home in varying situations or living conditions until the transit is over. This might initially seem to have its cause in alienation at work, difficulty continuing to believe in what you are doing, or job loss, or the reverse could be true. Difficulties keeping home life secure, stable, peaceful could negatively affect work life if home stress is transferred to it. It can time a crisis of confidence at home and/or work. The transit experience can vary widely depending on how Neptune aligns with your natal planets. For adults it can mean a period of withdrawal to contemplate and reconsider your life aims and the psychological or spiritual basis for how you've positioned yourself in the world. It is important not to confuse others' aims or expectations (especially family's) for your own. ------------------ "Drift like a cloud and flow like water, seeing that all life is a magnificent illusion, a playing of energy, and there is absolutely nothing fundamentally to be afraid of." -- Alan Watts Soul Stars Astrology by The Declinations Guy Expert Rectification IP: Logged |

Thank you for all of the input and advice. Usually I don’t get too bothered about transits but this one has me feeling uneasy. It will be exact in the beginning of May. Lalafortunaea, interesting about Uranus crossing over the 4th. This happened for me 11 years ago, I walked away from my home and the bulk of my possessions to move in with my now husband. I didn’t view it as a loss but rather a happy fresh start. Hopefully Neptune will be kind/positive , as well. IP: Logged | |
