Not quiet, there's more to the equation.
If you live in the burbs it makes sense to buy as much as you can from the grocery store.
However you must take into account the cost of gas consumption + wear and tear on a Vehicle assuming its not a Toyota or Honda even worse if it has a CVT transmission which is getting recalls from every automaker...and of course were seeing the end of small cars as automakers start to focus on trucks and midsize suv's which cost more so thats another expensive you must take into account.
There's also regional differences the price of food in one place of the world differs greatly in other places due to supply/demand, transportation and distribution.
Don't believe me go live in Iqaluit,Nunavut close to the North Pole then tell me whats cheaper Wendy's or the the grocery store?.
Unless you have an army to feed.
I haven't completely baught into the idea of going to cosco and buying in bulk.
I live alone and control my own expenses and that whouldn't benefit me.
lol, the Wendy's is across the street from where I live.
I live in a condo building in a heavily urbanized tourist downtown area, everything is quick grab walking distance for me.
So driving to the grocery store buying in bulk wouldn't make any sense for me.
YMMV there's no one size fits all approach to cutting costs everyone
has there own unique set of challenges.
