I find it interesting that people considering the conj of Sun to Mercury to be Mercury "influencing" the Sun.

Should it not be in actuality that its the Sun influencing Mercury? The slower moving planet(Sun) influencing the faster one(Mercury)?

Moon planet arguably would be the most "susceptible" to influence-since it is by far the fastest planet.

So dual aspects to sun i.e in my case Jupiter conj Sun and Neptune conj Sun. In both the Pisces archetype and Sag archetype exist side by side. My Sun is in Sag.

I think this extends to square and opposition too. Not sure of the sextile/trine or inconjunct though. Perhaps with the latter they are less "obvious"?

I for instance also have Pluto/Sun sextile.Should I read the Scorpio archetype too?

that's a good point... personally with sun cazimi mercury i do feel virgo-like, (but not gem -- it took me a LONG time to 'get' that sign but now i love it. ) i also have mars in 0 virgo in the 1st, so of course i sorta feel like a virgo

but should i consider it to be more like a sun influenced mercury? well i certainly feel like a leo mercury, but i'm Leo ASC and my sun/mercury are already in the 5th. Lolz

Thank you for your feedback. It seems that Chiron conjunct Sun indicates some trauma related to the father then. Whether it's a tragic loss or a rejection. I'm sorry for your tragic loss of your father. So difficult to lose a parent when you're that young. I lost my mother when I was 13 and it was devastating.

It could be that when they were young, the very expression of who they are was frowned upon or not deemed "appropriate". The father was critical and fault-finding. Always finding ways to focus on what the child "lacked".

The Sun is also representative of the Father. So perhaps the Dad was inhibited & couldn't fully express himself or was not present? This is the rejection of the child by default; in that they (father)were unable to provide counsel and encouragement to the child.

In the first instance, the child can believe themselves "missing" an essential ingredient & therefore "damaged" or "faulty".

This can create shyness, an inferority complex, being so uncomfortable in one's own skin as to be self-conscious, an identity crisis or the search for a person to whom one can look "up" to etc. Typically the type to have "father" archetype heros or largely male role models.

In the 2nd instance, the native learns to navigate life through their own devices.

So there is likely to be self-reliance, the inability to trust authority figures,a troubled relationship with males or complete disregard of instructional counsel(even from well wishers) and some sensitivity to criticism.

The 2nd instance can at worst create an arrogant personality (atleast on the outside), deeply insecure and unwilling to let others get too close.

There is continuous preservation of a "strong" front that betrays the lonesomeness of someone who feels unable to open up or reserves a lot of their affections from being shown to others.

I have Sun-inconjunct-Chiron. I am the 2nd. In many ways I have rejected authority figures in my life(this especially male ones).

I also feel Sun-Chiron males may reject children-either through abandonment or choosing not to have any. Here(like Mars-Chiron) they forfeit or rebel the male societal "role" of fathering kids.

Chiron-Sun in both women and men can raise issues and discomfort with the patriarchal system in its entirety.

There is resistance with them to take on leadership roles or responsibility that will "impose" them on others etc. They would rather work "with" others than bark orders.

They can make the type of managers who are open-ended and have a holistic approach to leading their team i.e "open door policy" etc.

Thank you for your feedback.
This really explains so much to me. My father was very tyrannical to me when I was a child. I developed several complexes from his abuse. I was completely introverted and "shy" growing up. Fortunately I moved far away from my birthplace on my 18th birthday and a new world opened up to me.
My Sun / Chiron/ NN conjunction is in the 8th house in Aries along with Venus and Saturn. I think my loaded 8th house gave me a toxic relationship with my father.
