A secret came to light this week, which is about my parents, specifically my father, or, who is not my father.... Found out via a DNA test. Big shocker. Then, I found out that not only was I not wanted, but I was a forced/obligatory birth, because someone threatened my mother, because she was into some shady stuff in the past. So, not only was I not wanted, and my father was never my real father, I learned I was also hated... Which explains a lot now...
I was well behaved as a kid, and my mother kept trying to find ways to get rid of me. That's just the tip of the ice berg. Oh wow so much is now understood, why I was treated as I was. I took it all like a champ, but... dayum... truth hits hard... Now the only people who know my dad is not my dad is me, my mother and whoever she dealt with in the past.
Part of how I found some of this out, is because someone contacted me and told me straight up, my dad is not my dad. That's what prompted the testing, and then me digging and finding out lots, lots more.

Oh god it's so convoluted... and all the lies... lies upon lies upon lies... mountains of lies... and she thought
that I would never find out...

I don't know your chart. Could you post it? I wonder if your mum's chart could be looked at, too? If not, that's okay. I'm not that good at reading charts, but I'm sure you'll get a few suggestions.

Went through the exact same thing myself. But in my case my Mom was the one who came clean about it.

I think you once mentioned that you have Asc in Taurus in the early degrees in a "Uranus enters Taurus" thread?

Right now Uranus is in retrograde motion in the early degrees of Taurus(always the retrograde motion of a planet that packs a punch) and its affecting your 1st house of identity.

I also found out when Uranus was in retrograde motion 24 Degrees Aries in my 1st house.Trans Uranus was also parallel my natal Asc and trine natal Jupiter at the time.

Progressed Asc in Taurus 17 was sextile Moon in Cancer & opposed to Venus in Scorpio exact! Venus rules the 1st house or progressed Asc and Moon rules the natal 4th house/Ic -identity foundations.

Nataly I could say this was already suggested by Neptune/Sun conj. The 5th house ruler in aspect to Neptune or Neptune in 5th may bring quetions of paternity. Sun in 12th house too.

Look to your progressed chart to see any tight aspects.I think that is how I ascertained the accuracy of the Asc for me.The progressions were very tight for that year/day.

yeah, one of the biggest shocks... honestly, you think your life and your past is straightforward, but no...

Yeep, Uranus is going through my rising.

This year just keeps getting better and better. So many secrets coming to light. On the one hand, it's good to know, to be able to understand things... A question mark has been answered, even questions I never thought to ask.

Needless to say, my paranoia and overall distrust of people I know is rather elevated at this time -_-

As to transit factors accompanying this look for the outer (three) planet transits, especially Uranus (dealing in revelations) in its harder transits to natal Moon and/or Asc/DC and/or IC/MC axis (in a precisely accurate chart); or maybe to natal Mercury. I see many of these showing in the chart Graham linked.

As to natal factors, the most substantive things I can point to, which is tied most in this to your mother, are:
- Moon's tight opposition to Mars. If this chart is timed with correct precision Moon (topocentric pos.) is actually 9°10' Pisces, within 0°03' of exact opposition to Mars.
- Venus's close square to Uranus and much wider square to Saturn.

I am not sure how to handle this to be honest. And it's been 3 years since finding out. And this leads me to really believe that parenthod is more about connection than biology/DNA.

I could say that perhaps a little part of me wanted something to click inside of me when I met him?But nothing did.And thank goodness I had that 80% left over of common sense to keep me from reeling.

It's too awkward between myself and him. I am now 35 and a complex irreversible human who's experiences with a troubled Cancer (step)father made him the person he is.

I don't know how to intergrate the "father" label into my life.And this is ironic considering I stopped "looking" for one right on the cusp of finding out about the biological one.

I find it funny to think that this experience has been sort of like a death. Then a birth. But I am not sure I want to nurture this relationship outside of "obligation"

Thank you for this, Kannon.

I always mainly associated Moon oppo Mars with my strong desire to distance myself from any aggressive feelings. I never liked dwelling in anger. My moon only has one affliction, so always figured hey, everything was just bumpy, but all is well. But now, seeing the cancer ic conj chiron in a new light, it means a lil' something else maybe.

Again. THAT was your dad and mom's ISSUE, and THEIR past-History.
