My venus square Pluto is one of the aspects I have that cause the most worry in me. Ive read the descriptions on it and it didn't resonate with me. And then I realize I have it parallel as well! So Im like hmm that strange... but then I though well maybe it's a good thing? having a venus square Pluto is more worrisome because it's conflicting. But a parallel is like a conjunction so it made me wonder if having it also parallel actually helps soften the problems of the square aspect? So that my Pluto venus square plays out more like a conjunction? Or does it just add to the problems or having venus square Pluto?
Because I can kind of see me having some traits of the conjunction but not really the square ? Like I can tend to be a bit obsessive when I like a guy. I want to know everything about him. I want a very romantic and soulful love. But Im not into danger or bad boy types. I don't have a huge problem with jealousy or possessiveness.

Hope Im describing this right, basically I would like to know how having a parrellel aspect between two planets in addition to having the same planets square in the natal would affect the aspect? I would appreciate any input (:

I believe the sign of your Venus and the other aspects can alter it.
I don't think Venus/Pluto can soften something. The conjunction is not the easy aspect too.

It's best to understand it qualitatively rather than as a 'good' or 'bad' thing.

This aspect shows a strong craving for affection and a drive for transformative love. The parallel between the two only reinforces the strength and persistence of it, but brings the potential for the Venus & Pluto energies to become unified. The strong drive of the square remains and the potentials for the unhealthy expressions of this are still there. It suggests to me an urgency of life changing relationships or affections for you.

Venus square Pluto puts personal values/affections in driving tension with empowerment/the unconscious. In Pisces/Sag this aspect is more idealistic than most combinations sign-wise. It shows there is tension to resolve between your affections, how you want to love and what is empowering for you. There are subconscious -- even unconscious matters influencing your efforts in love. There tends to be too much emotional longing for that 'one great love' (or to be that to someone else). It can get obsessive and unhealthy. No one person can live up to that. There is a tendency to alternate between aloneness/longing and drastic or dramatic relationships that throw your emotional balance off kilter.

The parallel between Venus and Pluto only reinforces it, but gives it more focus within your own feelings, values, unconscious.

Venus in Pisces is tender, but open and accepting. Pluto in Sag seeks empowerment through expansion, drama, adventure. So your love interests may roam well outside of what is conventional.

This dual aspect indicates cravings that cannot be satisfied without changing your inner emotional balance, even looking into your unconscious for what lies there. There may be a craving for wealth and/or sensual gratification that can become excessive if you don't find a healthy center within yourself.

I have Venus square Pluto. It's true, but I want to add that there can actually be "one great love". It doesn't have to be a perfect person. I believe in twin selves.

Many people, who are not looking for "the one", compromise in love. I won't argue about that being a "good" or a "bad" thing. To each is own. Maybe you think every mature relationship requires some compromise between two different individuals. That might be fair. But I wouldn't compromise on love itself. If I don't love and recognise someone as the one or, you may say, a truly kindred spirit, I may still like him and enjoy spending time with him, as a friend. I think love is sacred, and experimentation divorced from intuition and inner knowing may lead to arguably unnecessary suffering. I also have my north node in the 8th house, and have been through several life changing events. I agree the person has to transform himself/herself in order to meet without that which is primarily met within.

What is the orb of your Venus-Pluto square?
