My virgo aunt whould start baking weeks before the holidays and give out fresh made jams and jars of preserves as gifts.

Because of her i'm thinking of taping maple trees and giving out maple syrup as gifts. There are lots of maples on my dads property.

Normally my Capircorn Asc. dominates around christmas..I just get a simple card and give cash.

If I get gift cards I'll typically treat myself and get things I have in my notebook from that store.

I had a coworker get me a Kroger gift card(yes I put that down for my secret Santa)
I made the other choice another grocery store I shop at. And tan panty hose!

With that gift card I bought some energy drinks, cold brews, flavored waters, hard seltzers, and got part of my mom's present done. I also grabbed a few things my parents needed there.

I have so many Target gift cards from preschool moms.

part of this list is in the what I need now, going through my cycle. Target does not have essential oil roll ons. UGH I ended up ordering some that were not roll ons I am going to take them back.

I needed some good snacks. I got a huge bag of white cheddar popcorn...huge bag

Tazo Passion Ice Tea.
Soooo good! Doesn't have caffeine. Good flavor. Almost makes me feel like I am having a mocktail sangria.

but I also got a few undies and a bra.

I will use gift cards to get other people things, but my rule is, I need to at least one thing for myself.

I got a lot of Christmas shopping done with my Amazon gift card. But I made sure to also buy myself a new dress.

My 6th house moon Pluto loves the massage gift.
My dad got my sister, mom and I that for Christmas one year. I used mine first. It took me a while to get around to using it because I was in college/teaching survival mode.

But that broke the ice for my Virgo moon sister.

I'm pretty sure my Virgo Mars/Venus Mom still has not used hers.

My Libra Sun dad made a passive aggressive comment about it one time. It was like a 75 dollar gift certificate. I think it's kinda crappy my mom wont do it, like damn give it to me.

I can relate to this too, I always say I'm not really hard to gift to even a candle, crystals, chocolate, or baked goods makes me happy so if you give it to me I'll be happy. Just don't give me stuff that you're trying to get rid of 😂

I veer between wanting all the things, or nothing. I can't afford all the things. I like to make things, but am out of practice. I love books, seeds (for a garden), clothes, my interests and moods change. I love little gold watches, delicate rings, bracelets, or necklaces, but I have nowhere to wear them now. I have a few special items, that's it.

Certain things make my mom uncomfortable and make her feel too hoity toity. For some reason massages are hoity and a facial is okay. Manicure is too hoity, but she will paint them herself 5 minutes before we have to leave.

I know a virgo male with moon in pisces like me and he does not like massages but I think that is a red flag you dont like to get too comfortable, let you defenses down, I am like please explore my body and find the issues and work through them.

Love candles! I got two from pre school moms! I have an ivory one going right now. That is called "fireside s'mores"

My sister is getting me more black candles for Christmas. Because they freak out our mom a little. (and my sister and I think her reaction is funny sometimes. Messed up I know. haha) I love the energy and vibe of black candles. They might be my favorite to use in my practice. The last time I used black candles, I could go to sleep fine with out relying on edibles.

Yeah with people getting rid of stuff I have a hard time saying "no." Especially clothes! I had to tell people I was getting so smothered by their hand me down clothes that I am breaking hangers just from trying to pull a shirt out of my closet.

Loved reading this, girl I have a black candle myself in my rooom that is black but is running low, I got that one for free but is interesting that its the only candle I have placed in my room ever and is black, I tend to place my candles downstairs (living room and kitchen). Its interesting you like black candles, I saw some today on Etsy actually Your observation around you feeling it helps you sleep is interesting, will keep it in mind.

For self, well I received an unexpected Christmas bonus from my work, and decided to "splurge" a bit, and bought the household a new air fryer since our previous one crapped the bed like a half of year ago (or more?). I used it a lot, and have kind of been jonesin for another one since. I dislike having to use the main oven for little things. A lot of wasted energy (plus it's slower).*

Speaking of air fryers, what is the f'ing point of those little ones with the baskets that you can't even put a little pizza in?! Stupid..pointless...inane..waste of time!

IDK so I guess it depends on the Virgo but I just associate it with self care and taking care of your body so I feel it is a 6th house thing but if you have control issues and trust issues it may not be your type of self care.

*I think I may add insulation to the countertop air fryer to increase efficiency. A layer of cermanic fiber with a layer of polished/mirrored aluminum on the outside will probably do the trick. The ceramic fiber will insulate as far as conduction and convection, and the mirrored Al will reflect back most of the infrared (heat energy) back into the oven. These really should come insulated. The thin steel outer casing just passes through heat like water through a sieve.

Hi Galactic! I agree that massages make me think of Taurus automatically, more a venus thing/sensual yet my massage therapist is a capricorn, they pay close attention to the body and its structure I feel so if this is an interest they have they can be great at attuning to people's bodies and their needs.

i am probably difficult to buy material presents for as i am in the middle of downsizing unnecessary things and if i really need something, i would just buy it myself or work towards it. not sure if this is an aries sun/sn in 4th house thing or more of a cap pluto transiting the 2nd house thing..

as far as material gifts go, i always greatly appreciate something i didnt know i needed (self care stuff like a massage or homemade food), personal artwork or anything with more thought than a monetary exchange, like something i was looking for and had difficulty finding.

i have been thinking about getting an air fryer for awhile but have been indecisive on which model to get for most efficiency and safety. a cap sun gaming friend has been raving about how great air fryers are for the past year now. he just tells me to get the standard one and if it breaks i wont be out much money. bad reviews about the plastic melting is holding me back though..
