You are right, and if the bond was very close, like in this case, specially between a mother and her daughter, the mother can get very traumatised and in the very worst case even literally die from a broken heart. 💔😓

Sometimes old people die shortly after their spouse did...

So Lioness really has to be a strong Lioness at the moment...👍
(don't give up, you are still needed here on Earth...)

Time will make the pain more bearable eventually...but when that will happen is very individual, for some it can take many months and after that years of still having depression (the first months can be much worse than just depression). 😓

Hang in there Lioness, you made it through the first months. 👍

I would at a few charts, natal, progressed, and solar return.
I've heard that in a solar return or progressed moon conjunct saturn in the 5th shows a trauma involving a child. That scares me because in 2023 I have that aspect.

Look for Uranus to see sudden unexpected events, possibly to Mars if the death is violent like a car crash. You can compare the progressed and solar return to the natal to see if these planets are making some hard aspects. Also look at the ruler of the 8th house of each chart to see how it's aspecting other big points, north node, ascendant, sun.
Obviously Pluto will show itself somewhere aspecting these too. I think if someone were going to lose a child there would be multiple planets and forces at play. It's a major life changing event. I'd also expect to see some aspects in other close family members charts. The father or a sibling.

I did have T Uranus sq my sun, moon, mercury stellium all in Leo.
Solar return
T Saturn in aqua but to far away to be opposite .
Really no aspects from Saturn.

This happen 2 days before my solar return. 😢

Progressed sun and Pluto conjunction
Also conjunction to my natal Pluto
