On a Miami to Chicago flight was a little boy who drove everyone crazy. He was running up and down the aisle when the flight attendant started serving coffee. He ran smack into her, knocking a cup of coffee out of her hand and onto the floor.

As he stood up watching her clean up the mess, she glanced up at the boy and said:

"Look, why don't you go and play outside?"

You didn't miss much Randall. It was just about some mild relationship drama and me experiencing some repeating patterns in relation to women in the context of attraction/romance. (I tend to attract/be attracted to emotionally unavailable women).

There has been some twists in the connection of late though.

She finally contacted me with a few very long texts, which summed up was that she has just recently gotten out of a 6 year extremely co-dependent and toxic relationship with a rather imbalanced person, and she is basically in a state of heart recovery and is scared of getting intensely attached to someone again (in this way).

I told her that I very much understand that, and I proposed an idea that came to me intuitively. I proposed that we could become "meditation buddies" that would meet up a couple times a month for meditation together--that way, I could keep some detachment in relation to her and not feel like I'm being overly demanding of her time and energy, and in turn, she could get to know me more slowly and build trust.

She thought it was a great idea, and we met up this past Saturday for a few hours at a park. Walked and talked some, then meditated for like 45 minutes, and then talked a bit more. I don't think I'm as sexually/intensely attracted to her as I thought I was, despite that her Leo Mars very closely conjuncts my Asc and is opposed my Venus, her Sun is in my 8th and very closely opposed my Mars, and her chart ruler is closely conjunct my Venus.

That and her casually sleeping around a lot lately, is a bit of a turn off for me. But I'm willing to try to be her friend. I do have some romantic/sexual attraction, and if it organically/spontaneously happens, I would be open for it, but I don't plan on being the one making moves.

Basically I've decided to be very passive in this connection and let her come to me when she feels like it. Everything that I SHOULD HAVE done with the Aries woman that I've talked about in the past, instead of intensely chasing and pressuring like I had done with her.

Yes, even old dogs can be taught new tricks, apparently.

@GCE, these recent developments sound like a very healthy approach to me. I’m glad you have found your balance.

Thank you PlutoWasHere.

Deeper truth/longer account is that with most people, most of the time, I tend to be kind of passive and detached.

It was only with the Aries strongly cusping Taurus Sun woman that I became hyper Yang, chasing in nature, and over attached. It was really weird of and very unlike me.
