Why 4th house? I thought 10th(the house of Saturn) was the father.

My 4th is cancer but my Moon isn’t in that bad a shape.
It’s in the 2nd quincunx Neptune & Pluto. It does form a square to Mars in the 12th.

4th house is home life and family. Afflicted 4th/4th lord/planets in 4th will show instability in that area (such as an absent parent)

Like Summer Madness mentioned, it will show your early home life. My Uranus is tightly conj. my IC in the 4th and on the day my Dad died in a car accident when I was 6, transiting Pluto was conj. natal Uranus 0°. So, the IC and 4th house were definitely hit.

Actor Pierce Bronson was deserted by his father when he was just 2 years old.

Pierce is a Leo Rising with his Saturn exalted in the 3rd house conjunct Neptune and square Chiron.
His Sun is in the 10th house in Taurus where it is unaspected.

His 11th house Cancer Moon is also unaspected - his mother temporarily abandoned him when he was 4 to train as a nurse in England.

I have a full 5th House overflowing with Aries' red energy. I'm fully aware of its power. My Aries Lilith is also sitting on my MC. Of course I know what she can do. My Cupid is in my very 1st House. All it takes is just that change in the look of my eyes. It is so very easy for me to become an intense desire. Now, let's go a little bit deeper... I have been here for 2 years. Have you ever seen me saying that I have met someone? That I am talking with someone? That I have gone out on a date with someone? On the contrary, I really think all my posts have been saying, other times more subtly and other times more loudly, only one thing. My longing to be with my one and only. I thought it was too obvious... To him I open my heart just like a child. To him I give my mind, my soul, my whole body, my all. If this is not vulnerability, then what is it?...

What you see in me, from the little I allow to show here, is not my red energy. It is my Kaali in 1st House hitting my Scorpio Ascendant, amplifying him to high voltages.

The Taurus I’ve mentioned, had a very traumatic childhood. It isn’t my place to say why, but I know that he had trouble with his dad, and I don’t think they had a relationship, once he was old enough to move out. I’ll share his chart later.

I have no painful story to share, but if I had, I'm not sure if I could ever be as brave as you and everyone else here to speak about it, as I have always fought my battles and endured my pains silently and hidden.

I have a Scorpio ascendant, and used to deal with everything by myself, too.

-@teasal. I keep on seeing 12th house/Nep and/or Pisces associations with regards to these things.

Ruler of the 12th(Moon)is conj Sun(Dad).
Neptune is also in house 4 and makes a mutual reception with Jupiter in Pisces in 8th-up/down tumultuous situations at home. Or tensions connected with home/upbringing.

Notice how ruler of the 2nd house (early upbringing and sense of security) is ruled by Merc? Merc is conj Chi in Aries (ruled by combative Mars). The early upbringing is a source of great pain.

Yes, I know that he really didn't like his dad. I don't know much - he kept a lot to himself, the way that I used to.

He can be combative with everyone, at least online. I am combative over certain subjects, but not everything. He says that he doesn't care for most people, and I don't know if that's true, or if it's the sort of thing that comes from the above, and just not trusting many people.

Yes, a lot changed. Although, speaking up didn't really change much, I just stopped covering for people who didn't give a crap about me. I stopped tolerating the treatment, too.

I'm assuming:
- Heavily afflicted Sun
- Sun in 8th or 12th
- Sun conjunct Saturn
- Ill aspected 4th house lord

Idk if there really are aspects. For example I know a lesbian woman, she’s quite the tomboy. Her mom and dad had a very toxic relationship, her dad was a ladies man, cheated constantly and left the family for an older woman with money. That woman had her own children and he didn’t care much about my friend and her sister. Never payed child support. She didn’t have a relationship with her dad growing up, she didn’t want to see him. They only met when she was an adult and somewhat reconciled.

Despite all that, her sun ist pretty well aspected. She has a tight Sun/Venus conj in Sagittarius and a conjunction from Sun to Uranus and Neptune and a Sun trine to her Asc in Aries. My friend is very charming and attractive, women fall for her constantly, even the ones who identified as straight before. I met her dad once. She inherited a lot from him, lookwise.

So I don’t know, if one can see stuff like that in a chart.
I wonder if it depends on what parent we identify with the most … is the Sun always the father/father figure no matter who the prime caretaker is?

Also her Aqua moon forms a square to Pluto and has no other aspects than that. That plays out in her relationships too, since she quite often attracts Scorpio women, who act quite obsessive around her.

Not sure if this has already been noted but I have noticed that people who have Saturn in their 12th house have fathers that either passed at a young age or were absent in their lives (whether physically or emotionally).

FWIW, I never met my birthfather and as far as I know, he is completely unaware of my existence.

My sun in the 11th is squared by Saturn in the 8th.
My IC ruler, Mercury (10th), squares my MC ruler, Neptune, which is part of my generation's Neptune/Uranus conjunction in Capricorn, in my 7th.
Mercury also squares my AC/DC axis.
My 4th house ruler, Venus, falls in my 10th conjunct my moon and square Chiron and Pholus in my 1st.
