Title was more than enough by itself tbh..
It's totally my fault I read this post halfway through.

Your natal chart isn't something external happening to you. It's YOU.
In that sense you can't be free from it. It simply exists, whether you choose to ignore it or not.

It can't restrict you either, it's YOUR perception and use of astrology making you feel that way. I personally find it very liberating, Jesus on the other hand, I find very restrictive.

I don't use astrology to understand a person.
I use the person to understand astrology 😎 Jk

I've been into psychology for a long time, but astrology feels like an evolved, way deeper form of psychology coming straight from the soul plane.

Astrology is very complicated like humans themselves, which makes it very hard to understand hence why it's so difficult to prove it practically but it's possible. Jesus on the other hand is impossible to prove.

Free will is kind of overrated imo. Imo it's already calculated in astrology. I don't understand why that makes some people feel restricted/defeated/imprisoned.
I do agree with the yt short below.

In the end, it matters what you believe or how you use it. You can blame absence of free will on gods or on the planets.

The presence of free will makes some people feel more defeated. It could be easier to make something else responsible for all the problems.

I see some people have more opportunities to go beyond their circumstances than the others. Though it still might be in charts.

I doubt that you were (J/K) about that first line. I don't relate. 🤷🏾‍♀️ But to each their own. As the young ones say - Do you, Boo.

Was the OP a bit forceful about her newfound beliefs? Maybe. But I've also encountered Atheists who are just as forceful about what they believe, if not MORE. There are Dogmatic Idiots on *every* side of the aisle. 💯 In politics, in churches, in LGBT communities, in Feminist & Manosphere clans, etc - you name it, they are there. Sucking people into their toxicity like a vacuum cleaner, sweeping their proverbial floor.

I actually do believe in Free Will. God even *grants* it. ✨️ It doesn't mean he condones your actions, though; doesn't mean that you will be "free" from natural consequences of said actions either.

Personally, I believe in presenting people with the information. And informing them of the potential consequences. Then allowing THEM to decide what they will do and whatever they will believe.

For example: A girlfriend shares with me that she's thinking of getting into an Open Relationship with a man that she really likes. The man already has a wife and another partner. I know that this isn't my friend's style and that she's a highly possessive woman. 🔥 I can already see the disaster coming ahead! And this is not some sh*t that I would ever do myself. But am I going to *FORCE* my beliefs onto her if she insists on moving forward? NO! As this woman has *Free Will* and she will have to learn the hard way and accept what comes with it. 💯 I will present the information, share my perspective, then leave the rest up to HER. It's her life.

You feel liberated by Astrology.
Doux feels imprisoned by it.

You're two very different people on two different paths in life. Is what it is.

I don't feel like either one of you. And that's okay. 👍 I have my path, too.

I personally don't need more "proof" to believe in the existence of GOD. He's not a math equation to calculate. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Plain and simple. I also don't need a full congregation of Believers to convince me of his existence either, in order to believe. Why? Because I've felt his presence on my own. I've witnessed him work wonders in my life and the lives of others. He gave me grace & wisdom in situations that could have destroyed me! I don't need to "see" his face. Deep calm while strolling through nature, receiving a lingering hug at just the right time, staring at the face of a newborn baby with their lovely scent consuming me - is all I need to "see" honestly. The rest is to be *experienced* by those who are receptive to it. 💜 Nothing more, nothing less.

Many of the best things in life come from a place that can't fully be explained. ✨️

I don't believe in any gods. And no astrology sign is perfect - it seems like all of the gods involved, were messy. Like a reality show. So, I don't know why I would look to any of them, as the one to believe, and follow. That reminds me of that show that Hypatia mentioned. KAOS, on Netflix.

Some people push an angry and punishing god, and I would spite that god. Others talk about a loving god, which doesn't seem real to me, when I see what others go through, and when I think of some of the things that I've dealt with.

I've encountered people who believe in the former - that God is an angry madman, who looks upon us as worthless peasants. And I literally told one of them that I surely would become an Atheist before I ever subscribed to that kind of disgusting belief in God. 💯 No lie! I would never serve a Lord whom I felt hated me.

I do know that my God is a loving God. 💜 He is very real. And he views his Believers as his children... not as peasant followers. However, there is no promise of being completely free from pain, loss or disappointment (on Earth) just because we believe in him. 🤷🏾‍♀️ That's not how life works. You're going to have highs, and you're going to have lows. We ALL will have battles to fight and accountability to take. 💪 God allows the existence of Satan, and he allows humans Free Will. Do I always like this fact? Nope, sure don't. But it is what it is.

If you don't believe Teasel, that is your right. 👍 To each their own.

Because this will be taken away at some point, and I will regret not managing to relax here more (now). I already regret it - that, and giving too much energy or anything, to people who didn't deserve it. I want to be able to show up for the people who do (that includes some people here).

Yes! Tune OUT of all that sh*t. Ground yourself. 💚 And find your joy again.

When you have mastered astrology you are ready to meet God because that was your mission. Glad to see that you now truly know Yehoshova(Yeshua).

I doubt you have achieved higher states of awareness because you are telling others to quit. People with excellent 8th house configurations and excellent Jupiter are destined to become astrologer and will suffer if they do not heed the calling.

Others can approach genuine astrologers for guidance and counselling. They serve as mirror and can be excellent guides.

People do not have the freedom not to chose but do have the freedom to chose. You can help serious questioners with your insights and learning.

Jesus may be found in the stones, but he will not help unless you transcend the matter world which lesser Gods or Satans control. Once you light your flame, they have no choice but to allow free communications with the true Gods you have faith in.

And here I thought the point of the joke was apparent.
What I meant to say is that I don't use natal charts, transits, progressions etc to decide about someone's personality and if I'll be in a relationship with them or not based on that, as the OP assumes.

I get to know people, then check their natal placements to see if I figured them out correctly and gain more astrological knowledge by reading their natal chart, transits etc.

In that sense everybody who is into astrology "uses" people and events to learn astrology.

I agree, that's a fact. There's always better and worse. But I don't get what's the point of comparing in this case?

The OP seems like a sweet person, but the post is naive since it's full of invalid assumptions, emotional fluff without valid reasoning and/or proof, plus it's actually dictating what others should do starting from the very title.

For me it depends.
By definition free will (the abillity to act or choose independently from any outside influences), is reallistically impossible.

I do believe in manifestation and that we're probably manifesting 24/7 (which is similar to free will) But since we lack precise knowledge of how we're manifesting most things we're manifesting, it still feels like an "outside" of us influence.

That's the best approach indeed.

It's her life.

I've had identical situations. Till 25yo I would try so hard to convince that best friend of mine in order to save her. When I succeeded by influencing her (she is easily influenced) she would find another a$$hole who would endanger her life.
So the realisation did hit me at some point that I'm being controlling and it's not justified even though I was right about her boyfriends and I had the best intentions.
I found peace in telling her my advice and let her learn her life lessons in her pace.

Yeah, I know.. That was the point of my comment, to make the OP realise that their assumptions about everyone being/feeling the same are invalid.

@Plut0nian2 - fair enough then. 👍

I definitely feel that it is toxic to look at someone's Birth Chart and base whether you want to get to know them SOLELY off of that alone. People who operate like this, don't seem to realize that it makes their OWN chart look bad! 💯 So we agree there. I (like you) allow a person to show me who they are. And then I go back and look at their charts to see if my instincts were on point. And usually, they are!

There is only One Excuse for me to quit astrology and that is that I can not change my fate using help of astrology. But it would be awesome to know about a person and his/her future(aka their actions). It could a great advantage.

It’s definitely not for too sensitive and gullible. When I feel easily stressed I try to avoid even look at transit moon.
Also, there is a problem with too many ways to interpret things and astrologists who can use astrology in a wrong way and predict bunch of hardcore stuff to people.

I don’t need the stars or some god to tell me what to do.

I do think they throw obstacles in our way and it up to us to overcome them. I believe in the power of the self.
