I'm watching A Scanner Darkly on tv, and I have to say that RDJ has great gestures. They really enhance his performance.

Wow - I was just thinking about Aries today (of course )

Then I thought of their eyebrows.

Then I thought of the left brain and right brain.

Then I thought of 23.

Then I thought of a question to ask 23.

23 - you know Ariens have that little kink in their eyebrow. Have you noticed if it's mainly on the left side or the right side. Or both?

I was wondering if the kink had anything to do with being left or right brain dominant.

What do you think?

Aries, particularly the Rising ones, are ultimately cool people. I can't get anymore truthful than that.

Sun - Cancer, Moon - Pisces, Merc - Cancer, Venus/Mars - Gemini (conj my Mars, chk-chk-boom), Jupiter - Capricorn, Saturn - Aries, Ura- Aqu, Nep - Cap, Pluto - Sag, NN - Libra (conj my DC and Pluto), Chiron - Libra (4 deg from NN).

See all the detrimented Sat and Jup in mutual reception.

Saturn in Aries and Jupiter in Capricorn are not detrimental- they are both in fall.

Just came on here to say at least there is one Aries I really like, for no tangible reason:

Emma Watson.

Not because of the movie franchise in which she stars. In fact, I'm not a big fan of that particular franchise, haven't seen all of the films, will not see the upcoming one since I do not watch motion pictures any more...and have never read any of the books...I simply like her. I've watched her grow all these years. I admire her. Or maybe I should say I adore her.

The opposite of love is indeed hate, not indifference, for indifference is a form of detachment, and both love and hate are two forms of attachment, and detachment is naturally the opposite of both the two forms of attachment. There are many theories of the relationships between love and hate, but ultimately, hate is death force, which creates untimely or chronic destruction; whereas love is life force, which brings life.

Aries, at its best,
is so creative and pure..
Some of my favorite artists
have strong Aries influences.

The cusp of Aries and the 1st house,
as it reflects both the end and beginning
of an evolutionary cycle, has been a
recent preoccupation of mine.

We tend to think of Aries as the baby,
and the least-evolved of the Zodiac signs,
but this is because we are too linear;
the Zodiac is cyclical, and, viewed
from a particular dimension, we may say
that Aries is the end, and the answer
to the irreconcilable problems of Pisces.

Aries is the point in the Zodiac
where a cycle has just come to an end,
and a vast wealth of experience has
been narrowly, but effectively, focussed
and funnelled down to a single point, --
so dense, it operates on pure instinct.

With Pisces as the natural ruler of the 12th,
the depths of Aries' unconscious are profound.

Aries does not seek to dissolve the self,
for Aries has emerged from that process,
with the conviction that the self is holy.
The spark of the individual must not be
extinguished, but must be well-defined,
in order to effectively carry the spirit.

The compassion and sensitivity of Pisces
is held in check, for the sake of not being
swallowed up by unconscious forces.

The will to martyrdom is there, but,
Aries is determined to sacrifice only
on his own terms, as a strong leader,
and creator of values, in his own right,
and not as a passive follower of ideology.

Having said that, we cannot ignore
the side of Aries that appears in
the following words from King Lear:

"Touch me with noble anger,
And let not women's weapons, water-drops,
Stain my man's cheeks! No, you unnatural hags,
I will have such revenges on you both,
That all the world shall -- I will do such things --
What they are, yet I know not: but they shall be
The terrors of the earth! You think I'll weep
No, I'll not weep:
I have full cause of weeping; but this heart
Shall break into a hundred thousand flaws,
Or ere I'll weep. O fool, I shall go mad!"

Jeepers, Creepers! This gave me the Heebee Jeebees, or is that the Heeby Jeebies, or is that the Hebee Geebies, or is that the.....?

Drat, it reminds me of that awesome Jazz singer's anme Laura Fygi - Now ask your self, how many ways could you pronounce her name? I've loved her for years and still don't know how to say her name!!

ANYWAY, back on track..... your signature quote, Valus really hit home for me. I may have read it before, but today the whole reality of events that I've experienced just seemed to make perfect sense.

There is a warning to all Heroes out there. Be prepared to be shot down, targeted, or generally undermined while you're out saving the World. To be a Hero means to take a fall at some time.

Should one stop being a Hero? Definitely NOT! (Words spoken like a true Aries Rising).

Have a great day all you Aries-insprired, influenced or, in-awe people!!!

Well said, koiflower.

A wise Christian might call it
the destiny of the "first fruits".

And doesnt that suit Aries well?

The hero is also the first,
and, because he is the first,
he is the first to be shot down.

He rejects things which others
dont even realize they've accepted,
and suggests things which others
cannot begin to understand.

He struggles and is martyred
for things which future generations
will not even realize they have
taken for granted.
