That's just weird Dee. Sorry that someone did that to you. There are some strange people in this world. Someone once said to me that if someone takes something from you that they needed it more. I think that's taking the compassion road a bit too far. I'd call it thieving. But I'm not all that enlightened. I don't blame you for not going after it, you don't know who the person is and what they're capable of. That's crappy, hon.

You should be aware that if you have info about your credit cards and such in your trash, then that might be used to steal your ID, or at least steal from your credit cards as you.

Though I'd guess it's just some insane nosy busybody going through your stuff as an alternative of trying to spy on your through your window.

Hopefully, it's just some weird game of Scavenger Hunt going on with a mix of Dare thrown in.

Would it ease your mind to call your local post office to see if the postie remembers delivering to you at all? As well as alerting them to what happened?

Thank goodness for your dogs. Keep your phone handy as well. Tell a neighbour what happened, too.

Two ways to keep your correspondence safe from fraud is to have a post office box and a shredder to shred any unwanted personal information.

I'm sure you'll be okay. Maybe some hard-up drunk needs some scrap metal cash.

Have a great day and stay online

Could easily just simply be a prank and nothing more.

There's possible simple explantion. Possible.

People do stupid and pointless things when they are under the influence of drink or maybe something else.

Someone once decided to wheel down the street and into the river courtesy of my bin. Obviously a good night in the pub for them....the Council scrapped wheelie bins in this street soon after so they were welcome to it.

Alien smilie as a salute to all the stupid and pointless things we do when we've had a few.

So true bm. One night I could see a reflection of light coming in through the window and thought this was strangge, looked out the window and our neighbour's bin was on fire. Someone walking past had just set it alight. It had happened in the next street too. There was a row of them all burnt the following morning.

A couple of weeks ago my neighbour came over to tell me that a man was passed out in our yard. I called an ambulance. While waiting for them to arrive, the emergency operator stayed on the phone with me in case he became belligerent after I explained to her that yes he was breathing, but I could also smell the liquor on him a couple of metres away.

Some things are easily explained with - there's just no logical explanation.
