PeaceAngel,Indeed, while I criticize and label others as, for instance- "uncivilized", I am, in truth, doing exactly the same thing to myself- "categorizing" myself as an "uncivilized" person. I shall rephrase what I had said, which, in this case, is the word, "uncivilized", into unempathic. http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/201458.html
The way you perceive me, PeaceAngel, is that I fear criticizm from others while carrying out my unjustifiable criticism onto the rest of the other LL members here. The way you perceive me, PA, is that my approach toward other LL members here is about aggression, hostility, tactlessness, and about just that- particularly in the recent weeks, when I had been out of my mind- clinically, I would say. And yes, I would criticize myself for my own innuendos mercilessly. PA, in spite of everything that has been said and done, I do respect your disposition, and for clarifying myself (it's funny how my intention of clarifying myself might very likely end up further mystifying my motives) as well as expressing my respect to you, PA- hence this thread. THANK YOU RANDALL, OR ANY OF THE MODS, FOR CLOSING THIS THREAD. D IP: Logged |

DfDYes, that is how I perceive you. I do think that you go off on tyrades and I must admit, that when I see a length of cut and past quotes and bolded replies, it puts me off and I don't read them. And that's not just you, there's a few Knowflakes that do that - and it just doesn't suit my attention span. So I tend to avoid those posts, generally, unless moderating is needed. I think there are times when you over-explain yourself, where most people would have the ability to let things go. Eg. when Lara referred to you as D for Dervish and you made a long and manic post about it, when it was easily clear from observing Lara's personality that she would not have meant anything serious by it. My guess at the time was that she was being funny, but it turned out she was having brain farts. Which is pretty funny in it's own right. The things you have to say - your points and your arguments - a lot of the time we are in agreeance - but the way you say it - I find you quite rude. I see someone who is battling some very big personal demons and you are finding some balance in yourself and your expression - that there have been times and people in your life that have restricted your self-expression and that is something very important to you and in finding yourself and being yourself. I think, in the end of it, the only person you are trying to make peace with is yourself and the acceptance that you really seek is your own. IP: Logged |

DFD ~I just want to say thank you for expressing regret about your actions (if that is indeed what you did). I could say a whole lot more, but I'm exercising restraint and practicing diplomacy, so I'll just say, Well Done, and hope for a better, more civilized and empathetic tomorrow. PS: Instead of posting a public thread here at LL and demanding that it be closed after you speak your piece, if you wish to converse with a Moderator you can email us by clicking on the hyperlink at the top left corner of our forum header pages. And yes, D -- I do have a very good and long memory..... IP: Logged |

Hey Zala. I don't recall the last time we were online at the same time. Damn those time zones. Isn't the world supposed to be flat? IP: Logged |

It may well be today, gauging by my feelings. I'm sure you are quite familiar with your personal physical reserves running on their personal physical reserves. I need to re-fuel. Seeing you helps. IP: Logged |

Ah, I'm not sure if cut-backs are a good thing or bad thing. Money wise I imagine not, but thinking of rest and son time, that would be a bonus.I'm on holiday at the moment, hence my extra presence. Usually I'm doing volunteer work, but have today off. Catching up on housework instead. GREAT! Since when did going off-thread become an issue? Did I miss the memo? You mean, for the past year or so........... oh... IP: Logged |
