My mother apparently tried to reply to this thread, over the past day or so... I only found out that she's applied for membership, when she asked me why she couldn't post.

If she comes back when her account is activated, I'll leave it to her to post her movie.

The first movie that came to mind, was Less Than Zero. I don't know why - I haven't seen it since I was a teenager. I also loved Shawshank, (and Forest Gump ), and have yet to read or watch The Green Mile.

When I was seven, The Fox and the Hound, and E.T. had me in tears. They both had a huge effect on me. I still can't watch the ending of E.T. and when I got the Fox and the Hound out of the library - for sentimental reasons - I ended up giving it a wide berth and not watching it, because it made me tear up just thinking about it.

I also like the ending of Up, where he realizes that living an 'ordinary' life with a lot of love is just meaningful as big adventures.

I really want to see this movie.
