8th house female Capricorn Moon here: I never used to be big into baking, until I discovered a website that had all kinds of recipes for odd/unusual cupcakes. I was 8 months pregnant at the time and roughly the size of a triceratops, so I had a lot of time to spend in my house baking. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it.Last night I baked a cake shaped like a ladybug for my sons birthday party. I used york peppermint patties for the dots! IP: Logged |

Moon Taurus/5th houseI started a tradition with my children when they were very young.
For 2 weeks (right before  )
We bake. (and bake and bake)
Every thing Christmas and we make these beautiful Christmas Baskets filled with delicious cookies and candies and then on Christmas Eve we visit our neighbors and hand them out. We have made wonderful memories doing this and it is something that they are sure to pass along. It doesn't feel like Christmas without it.

That sounds so cute AerialCircus! Did you take pics? I don't like to bake as much as I like to cook. I hate to measure, measure, measure. It is pretty hit or miss for me. For example, just last night I made "oatmeal cookies" but they were more like oatmeal mini cakes. My cookies usually turn out pretty cakey. I can whip up a mean bread though! I make a good zucchini bread and date nut bread is a specialty. It is one of those holiday giveaway things. Libra Moon in the 9th. IP: Logged |

Female, moon in Sag, but in 4rth House (I previously said 5th, but that was a mistake on my part). Biscuits and cookies would be the most common, garlic bread (very popular) close behind, and pies & cakes coming after. Pizzas are rare (I'm not including pizzas that you just need to heat up as its already made). I also bake casseroles (my chicken enchilada casserole is probably my most requested, though I generally stick to tuna casseroles for myself), beans, potatoes, and lasagna. I also bake fish, but more often fry it (like with pizza, I'm not counting the already prepared fish that you just stick in the over for heating). During "the holidays" (from Thanksgiving-New Years), I do A LOT of baking (and other cooking). During this time, I get A LOT of requests for my sweet potatoes (as well as special sweets). I like to bake... just because I like cooking in general. I don't have a preference one way or the other. You know... some people just love to bake and some to cook. I just like to do whatever will get me my yummy treats!! And I bake anything-- sweets, casseroles, breads, meats. Female, Libra moon in the 10th. I was just thinking about what placements may have bestowed me with a love of cooking, as I hear that Sag girls aren't much in the kitchen. I do have Jupiter in Taurus in the 5th, so that might be where the drive comes from.  IP: Logged |

This thread caught my eye because lately, I am obsessed with baking.My Moon is in Libra, in the 11th house...and oddly enough, I want to bake stuff to share with people- at work, friends, what have you. Apropos, isn't it? My mom is pretty good at baking- but she is HORRID at cooking meals. I never really learned anything from her, but I do have some rare memories of comfort when she would bake stuff. I am not that great at it, for I don't make anything fancy or technically challenging. And I am afraid of yeast. I really want to be good at baking bread. It's also challenging because I live at high altitude, so there are all sorts of adjustments you have to make to bake something edible. MK IP: Logged |

I have a cooking diploma and can cook things no problems and I am very good at cooking.....Baking on the other hand....forget it! Cookies end up burnt etc......though on a very bright note.my homemade fresh cheesecake is a huge hit and a very requested item for me to take to pot lucks etc.....Can Moon 2nd or 3rd house....
