Both, depends.

Too many people, yeah, it is rude, but they may not even think that. I dont know.
An email or call wouldnt do no harm. To Me anyway. Little old Me.

Lordy CPN, my first husband was an Aries. He wouldn't of even bothered to consult, or pretend to consult me on my wishes for a visit. It was his way or the highway,
guess where he's at????

Heheh, I looked him up on myspace, he is currently "single" after his fourth divorce! I was his first wife. Apparently, he isn't very good at this marriage thing.
His best friend came into where I was working about a year ago and said, oh yea by the way, "Bob" and I talked the other day and he said he is still very interested in you....... I was like, ewwwwwww, you gotta be kiddin me!!! Blechhh.

LMAO!!!!!

That is how I will refer to him from here on out. Except you can't say it, like Prince's symbol name, so I'll call him, "The Bullsh!t artist formerly known as Boob!"

Yeah, I amuse myself a great deal too.
We should totally hang out sometime, meet ya halfway!

i don't mind.

is what i would normally say but... since i had this guest of horror from France, who calls himself our friend, who declared that he comes to visit, asked where he could stay, and when i arranged a "temporary (1-2 nights)" place for him to stay after calling all my friends because i was way too stressed to have a guest at my own, he stayed shamelessly at the friend's house for like 10+ days, and kept coming by to hang out with me and my room-mate for hours interrupting our work (and not getting the hint when we just ignored him and worked, not getting the *hint* even when we actually said that we had work to do and can't hang out, he still stayed for hours, speaking about how deep life is and what his art projects were about), expected that we take him out to party every night, complained that the friend was never home and it was boring for him, and verbally abused anyone he didn't like, and and, the list goes on.

i broke down in tears when he finally left on the last night (after 2 weeks). stopping by from around the corner is one thing, but from another country totally puts pressure that somehow we cannot turn the person away so easily, although we didn't even invite the guy. since this we never open the front door when we are not expecting anyone... i'm traumatised!!!

Leichen! That is an awful story, yikes!

So, if you don't mind me asking, in general you said you don't mind. Since you were the only person who said that, I am curious, do you do that, I mean stop by others houses? Cause I've noticed that the people I've asked in (real life) that said they don't mind, are the ones who also do it, so thats why they dont mind.
Not judging...just curious.
And would you have a limit? I mean how many stopper byers in one day could you handle without going nuts.
Maybe I'm just wired with bad nerves or something......

no Gypsee actually, i'm usually the person who is all the time home (when one has no money and no fixed job all she can do outside is to sit in the park and watch people!) and people just stop by, cuz i live in the neighbourhood where people do pass to get to other places. that's really funny, now that you mention it, i think it IS rude if i myself just stop by randomly at people's houses... ha!

i also used to live in a big community building where we hosted different stuff... concerts, exhibitions, festivals, you name it... complete strangers wandered into our perpetual open doors. i did not really enjoy it though when once at like 5 in the morning i was laying naked in my boyfriend's bed, while he was in another room having a "talk" with the girl he cheated on me with (only funny to me, felt bad for the girl, later ditched the guy), and someone rang the door and i answered it, thinking maybe the bf got locked out, only to find this teenager on drug staring from the top of my head to the tip of my toe (cuz i was totally naked) and said, "is the party here?"

LOL

gypseewind: oh man that's terrible! i'm sorry you have to live almost on-call for these unannounced visitors. but you're such a nice person to actually answer the door for them! hahahaah when i'm at my home, if someone rings the doorbell i just let someone else in the house take care of it. if it's just me in the house, i just leave the person hanging at the door.

in my building that i live in now, we're instructed never ever to open the door for people. it's the rule that if someone knocks on your door, you have had at least 24 hours notice via a notification delivered in your inbox. i'm by myself here so for my safety i never open the door unless it's someone i know and they called me. you can't get in the building without calling ahead anyway so no surprises.

depending on who it is and the circumstance, i decide if it's rude or not. if i didn't call ahead, for example it's for a gift drop off, i just stand at the door but don't ask to come inside. i usually call ahead or make an appointment if i drop by. i wouldn't think it rude but annoying at most.

I'm just gonna start answering the nekked, if that don't scare them away, nothing will.

It's funny to talk about, but it has been really getting me down lately. I feel I have no privacy.
I feel like my dishes always have to be done (which of course, they should be, but hey doesn't everyone like to slack once in awhile?)
I feel like I always have to be somewhat presentable, and while maybe not chipper, at least responsive.
It's been exhausting lately.
My jeep is broke down again, so I can't even escape. Very bad for a Sag, someone must die!!!! JK.
