This is a great link to read at 2 AM before a person goes to sleep. No Thanks lol.I believe sleep paralysis also has something to do with inhibitors in the brain also. IP: Logged |

I used to get this. But then I started learning to wiggle my toe and then wake up my whole body. It used to be frightening, now its pretty cool, because I can see a light inside my head with geometric shapes, I focus on that now instead of the paralysis, and it soon wears off. What is that link all about? sounds spooky.IP: Logged |

SunChild.... I have suffered from this for many years. The reason i liked this link was because it mentioned both REM sleep. and the other worldly theoryI know what you mean about moving a toe. once i can move something a finger or toe i can then pull myself out of it. IP: Logged |

This is what happens when the muscle paralysis induced by sleep fails to coincide with a loss of consciousness...it's nothing to worry about. The two functions are controlled by different systems so it makes sense that once in a while they won't match up.Although it is a little disconcerting when it happens I don't think it's anything to worry about. As for malevolent presence....how often do we sense those? The fearing mind is very powerful, in fact fear is probably the most powerful mental state we have. The true malevolent force is fear itself (thanks franky).IP: Logged |

One of the rare times I had this was interesting. I realized what it was and tried to comfort myself (as I felt suffocated and the presence of evil) that no one was known to have died from this, when it suddenly occurred to me right then, "But if people DID die from it, how would we know?"Still, I came out of it through cussed willpower, whereas most fall to desperate prayers and spells. Still, that specific time, once I pulled myself all the way out of it, I went around the house turning on lights and left them on for awhile... IP: Logged |

And don't be afraid to ask for God's help. It's not a crime to believe in God. (although some will try to make you feel stupid about it - that doesn't help you at all - Jerks)IP: Logged |
