I just saw this You Tube video. Apparently the Army is getting ready to help enforce mandatory flu vaccines. This woman is in the Army, and is reporting what she's just learned about plans for roadblocks in California. She shows documentation, and a photo of a device made by Cejay Engineering.

I know that they are making it mandatory that health workers receive the vaccine, but this is the first I had heard about others.

I live in California.

Haven't heard a thing about anything. I doubt anything like that would go over well in California considering it's such a liberal state.

I'm also skeptical, living in California (and having learned that there are always people shouting that the sky is falling).

I suppose individual hospitals might try requiring the workers get immunized, but I believe it's illegal to force it. Someone I know who works in a prison is strongly urged to take it, but she's refusing.

What BS. No one should have to get it.

Liberal politics is why we are seeing this sort of thing. Liberal govt. is govt. that thinks for the people. Out of all the states, I can see CA having mandatory for everyone. The only reason I don't see CA having it is so many are into alternative meds and against vaccines.

...

I think that all the liberals here in California are the reason it wouldn't happen. Generally, they tend to be against mandatory anything so I don't understand the last post so much.

Heck - you can claim religious issues with ANY vaccine and not have your child receive any vaccine.

liberal politics is about more government control. That is why it would happen.

While I disagree that liberals are solely the ones who want to put a boot on our neck (the conservatives are also bad this way), California liberals do shove their ways down our throats a lot. Examples off the top of my head include textbook altering, which affects the nation as a whole ('course Texas conservatives are also anal this way and affect the schooling across the nation given how many textbooks they buy). Both Texas conservatives and California liberals are pioneering RFID tagging for children, even without telling the parents (let alone giving a choice), though very few schools in either state have actually gone this far. I believe seat belt and antismoking laws are a liberal thing.

Confusing the issue are that many conservatives in California also shove their ways down our throat (Prop 8 the most well known), too.

In various places, both pornography and erotic dancers have faced various forms of local laws, but sometimes that's hard to tell if it's from fairly liberal feminists or from conservative moral busybodies, as they both seem to want the same thing (and sometimes even work together).

The California government is pretty arrogant, too, though I wouldn't go so far as to say ESPECIALLY arrogant compared to other states.

Dervish, exactly!

I agree, extreme liberals and extreme conservatives are the same. They both need to go, IMO.

I agree that extremes on both sides are just as obnoxious.

The state already has an issue on it's hands with 'mandatory' swine flu vaccines for health care professionals. Many of them are refusing it and putting up a fight - would be far problems to try to do that to the general population.

Yeah, extremes of any kind are usually narrow minded.

They should protest. I hope they win. Even a healthcare worker shouldn't have to put anything into their body they are uncomfortable with - it's an invasion of privacy and denial of freedom we are given under the constitution. This sort of enforced intrusion by the government needs to be stoppped before they start telling us more of what we can do with our bodies.
