Turn ye thy thoughts to God,
As a key in a lock is turned.

Open the chest of thine Heart,
As ye would a chest full of Gold;

For Love of Our Lord is the Treasure,
Exhumed from the earth of the Ages,

And every Heart that dwelleth in God
Is sated with wealth Inexhaustible.

She strikes a bottomless Fount
Of Love's eternal-burning Oil,

Who delves beneath the Crust
Of superficial Phenomena.

By the simple Name of "Love",
She annoints herself unto Perfection;

Forgetting All the Objects of Sense,
And placing attention on the Heart.

Dwell, then, in the Quiet Honor
of God's most precious Grace.

Step ye into the way of God's Love,
As ye enter a cast of Warm Sunlight.

Remember the Love of the Lord,
For only Love like This Abides.

Be Humble before the Voice of God,
Who counsels Compassionate Restraint.

Give place to the Will of the Mover,
And wrestle not with the Immovable.

Follow closely the words of the Saints;
They are given for thy Soul's Education,

And nothing Glorifies unto the Highest,
but that which Edifies the Soul.

The Ignorance of Man is Nought
But Man's Ignorance of the Saints.

Here, ye, the Voice of Exaltation,
and Glory in the Word of the Lord!

God's Love is a Joy to Remember
That Cradles the Laboring Heart, --

The Soul's Fidelity to the Living Word
Is Truly a Marriage effected in Heaven, --

And all who Bear Witness of The Lord
Must Share in the Abundance Thereof;

But whosoever Testifies of Worldy Things
Must share in the poverty of Mammon.

Of a truth, All Things are Done Under Law,
And nothing excepting the Law is Done;

Those who fall, fall according to Law,
As those who are Lifted, are lifted by the Law.

She who would reach the Highest Summit
Must be determined to See from the Height.

She who would Pray in the Temple
Must make the Long Journey Thereto.

If ye Desire an Audience With Eternity,
Set thy Heart on the Path of the Saints.

Say, in the Depths of thy Days, --
In the Hours, Minutes, and Seconds, --

The Prayer Congenial to Thy Heart,
And offensive to no Good Part of Thee.

Thou art Nought But the Vessel of God;
The Temple of His Holiest Worship.

With Reverence, Bear Thyself Up,
And Hearken unto the Most High.

As ye Seek the Enlightenment of His Love,
So does He Seek to Enlighten Thine Heart.

By Love do the Saints know His Coming;
By the Heart is His Presence Perceived. --

By Love are they Assured of His Verity;
By This do they Know He is Sacred. --

No other Quality becomes Him;
All else would just Encumber,

And Purity is only to be Purified
Of Everything excepting Love.

He is the Lord in His Fullness,
The Essence of which is Love.

Miraculous abundance Blesses
The Heart squarely Attuned to Him.

His Name is a Friend who unburdens Us
And swiftly bears our troubles Away.

His Prayer is a dazzling Chalice
Dipped in the Immortal Spring.

Surrender to His Loving Will
Quenches even the Fear of Death.

Who art thou, wandering Son or Daughter,
to overlook the incomparable Word of God?

Lend thine eye to the Scripture, once more,
And behold the True Beauty ye Seek.

Carry with thee the Name of "Love";
Or "Christ", if it not offend Thee.

Thus shall ye Know the True Wisdom,
And give no thought to Immitations.

Simple is the Creed herein Delivered,
But Difficult is the Execution of Duties.

Be comforted by the Lord, Our God,
And settle for no partial Comforter; --

Then shall thy Labors be Easily Endured,
For the Lord does not withhold His Strength.

Whosoever Commends her Trust to God,
Is Entrusted by God with the Care of the World.

koi, I can't speak for Valus.
Having said that - I sincerely believe that his mission on Earth is to preach and transform through word.

Well tell him it's only got 1 's'. I know it was probably just a typo, but it put me off reading the rest. Nit-picking, I known, but recently someone edited some of my blurb and put a title mispelling 'success'. This doesn't bode well, I thought, before pointing out his error. If he doesn't change it properly I will get really arsey.

This is cool Valus.

However I must admit I was having a profane moment where I wondered if that's how you spoke all the time.

"Passeth to me the salt
Oh Mother of mine
Sacred Virgin
And the mashedth of potatoes
For the fruit of thy womb
Doth demand them
And the butter
If though dost not mind".

A gentle giggle, not at you, understand. I enjoyed this.

LOL, blue moon, I think you already did.

Typos don't bother me and certainly don't deter me from appreciating the content.

the preaching doesn't go well with the words spoken to PA.

I hear you, pire.

Did you see her unprovoked monologue about me on page 3 of that thread? The one written behind my back? Believe it or not, I was having a very enlightening couple of days before tripping over that little stumbling block. I don't pretend to have put the highest wisdom into practice. (Its a rare enough accomplishment just to put it into words.) I'm still the same person, with the same exasperatingly comprehensive soul; faithfully and unconditionally loving one minute -- bluntly and unabashedly venting my human grievances the next. Just as sensitive to the darker vibrations as I am to the lighter ones. Being a Scorpio is no moderate walk in the park. I speak from one part of my soul and then from another. I don't claim to have reconciled them yet. And, yes, they do look odd when you consider them side by side. Like the world God created, so full of paradoxes and contradictions. Not really logical at all. But I know you can understand that.

contrary to what Yin implies, i believe you would have more impact if you expressed your preaching through actions instead than world.

but you're not the only one who might reach enlightenment, and others can learn from your mistakes.

we all have a negative side so to speak, you seem to forget it when people direct theirs at you.

it's sad only because you can be such a good teacher... and i don't mean a good comunicator, but a good teacher. ask PA what it means, she's a teacher in real life.

There was more than one post directed at you by PA on Nov. 1, and they reveal more nuance than you're attributing to her.

Of course PA should be the most offended by the attack on Godzala, and it's not surprising that if her behavior in creating Godzala-type threads is offensive she might turn to a juxtaposition between different types of threads that people find offensive around here. Just because she wrote about your threads to offer up a comparison between what kinds of threads cause more trouble, doesn't mean she hates you.

AG,

Are you pointing out PA's post there, with the photo of the priest on that thingy? Again, totally unprovoked. Probably, she completely misread my post and interpreted it as a dig at herself. Then Spaky Butler's comment about my "faux suit". Again, unprovoked. These people think they know me. But their vision is too narrow to contain folks like me. They can't begin to accept the possibility of a human being who contains, at one and the same time, noble and mystical impulses alongside more aggressive and argumentative ones. And anybody who dramatizes themselves, or speaks unironically about lofty things, is, to them, just being pretentious. The truth is, people do have these noble and lofty impulses, and some of us are not afraid to express them, and to articulate them in the lofty language that's only proper to them, -- even if it means people will call us arrogant, or label us hippocrites when our less divine qualities begin to reassert themselves. Yes, its true; multifacted people exist. People who are too honest to deny their virtues, or their vices. People who fly up to touch the divine, and are still brought crashing back down to earth by the weight of their flesh. We do exist.

pire,

This is real life.

I'm sorry you don't see it.

And I am taking action,
on the subtlest and the most
far-reaching of levels.

There is a place for me,
and its not at the soup kitchens.

I'm dishing out soup for the soul.

Have a bowl. It's still good.

AG,

Okay, but..

I didnt even see those posts of hers
before I posted on T's thread.

I only saw the above-mentioned monologue.

And I'm not sure what you mean by nuance.

She just appears to be taking shots at me.

If she's giving any compliments,
i think they're meant to be sarcastic.

Where's the nuance?

And my threads have gotten their share
of criticism and censure, havent they?

Is it fair of her to point the finger my way
in order to distract from her own situation?

"Valus is unpopular..
maybe I can deflect it his way."
