Lord Monckton’s warning to America
By Michelle Malkin • October 19, 2009 12:05 AM

Lord Christopher Monckton, former adviser to Margaret Thatcher, spoke
at Bethel University in St. Paul, MN last week on the UN Climate
Change treaty scheduled to be signed in Copenhagen in December 2009.
He was hosted by the Minnesota Free Market Institute.

Minnesota Majority posted the video of his speech, entitled “Is Obama
Poised to Cede US Sovereignty?”

No, but given the frequency of panicky drivel (especially about Obama the so-called Antichrist), and Michelle Malkin in general, I'm not inclined to care what's said here (as I don't believe it). There have been far too many false cries of wolf already for me to just panic at the latest rumor.

And even if it was true, the UN isn't also called the "Useless Nations" for nothing.

i am only on page 42 (treaty is 181 pp) but i found this significant, and reassuring in light of lord monckton's assertion that we will be giving up our sovereignty:

"proposals for funding support for adaptation in developing countries that are particularly vulnerable....shall be:

a) country-driven
b) guided by indigenous knowledge
c) funded directly to governments and community organizations in accordance with national policies or legislation

as i said, i haven't read but 1/4 of the whole but this is very encouraging that the power is actually resting in individual governments to do as they see fit, not some global central office...
