I used to catch her on Montel's show. I was listening to her on George Noory's show when he asked her if the Virginia miners would be found alive and she said yes. then the went to a news break and it just came out that they didn't make it

Actually, I could overlook her being wrong about the miners as nobody's perfect, but what turned me against her was how she treated the Hornbecks. At the very least, she could've told the distraught parents that she isn't always right, or warned them that it's upsetting and not 100% instead of just saying all that and then trying to gouge them later. THEN I'd listen to her apologists (in fact, I'd consider that fair warning and not hold what she did against her, save the tasteless attempt at high priced gouging after the show).

I could say a lot more, but see no point in it.

Still, that all said, James Randi is also a fraud. I'm sure everyone here knows of his pathetic trick to "discredit astrology" (and I got a story for that, too, but will skip it for now). The funniest one to me was where James Randi "disproved" the Cottingly Fairies, and one of the girls behind that who was still alive found it hilarious. Before she died, she admitted it was a hoax and told how she did it with pins & cut outs which was NOT how James Randi "exposed" it, which was why she found it so hilarious (that Randi was using a hoax to disprove her own hoax so that they were BOTH hoaxers).

That guy's really done his research. I never cared much for her and thought she was a phony and that's about it.

...now, I think she's evil. LOL

Dee, I happened to hear that show too and had a little chuckle at the time.

How sad.

She seems like deep down, a very angry woman who is out for herself only.

Felt bad for the woman at the show the webmaster of this site went to in Vegas, who went up and didnt have a question but asked Sylvia if there was anything she could tell her - she got treated very rudely, ignored and was made to feel stupid and skipped over to the next person.

And what the webmaster - being a skeptic and very left brained didnt think or mention anything about, but set off alarm bells for me, was how she got so angry at him at the show and even came out after saying something very bad will happen to him or whatever, even though he was polite, calm and respectful. The other people there couldnt believe how angry she got.

A truly spiritual person does not allow anger to overtake them so easily and say nasty things to people like that.

I'm really skeptical of everything these days. But still wonder about karma from time to time and what comes of people like her.

I dont like her off putting personality, also spiritual people usally give back one way or another they just don't enrich themselves with 1/2 hour readings that cost $800

T, not to change the subject to much. but about Karma i dont know about that one i recently came in contact with 2 ex boyfriends both real ba+++++#s, the did really well for themselves in life. almost like they were rewarded for bad behavior and not just with me these 2 have a bad track record
