Title says it all (except that it's meant to be plural).

FAVOURITE MOVIE MOMENTS

1. When Dan finds out that Alice wasn't her real name/identity in Closer - at the end. I suppose I should have put a spoiler alert there.

2. I love the scene in Pretty Woman (must be Julia Roberts night) when she tells him that in case she forgets to tell him later, she had a great time tonight - before the go out.

Will think of more.

Oh I love Zod. KNEEL BEFORE ZOD!!!!

Usual Supects was fantastic.

Final death scene from Robin and Marion.
Hot air balloon scene from A Map of the Human Heart.
Ode to Joy scene from Immortal Beloved.
The ice palace scene from Dr Zhivago and the scene on the bus where he finally sees her again and chases her down the street but collapses from a heart attack before he can reach her.
The scene from LA Story when Steve Martin and I-can't-think-of-her-name are holding hands and become little children.
Scene where Natalie Wood meets Warren Beatty again after she's home from the asylum in Splendor in the Grass and they realize that it just aint gonna happen.
The scene in Heaven and Earth where Takeda, who's just taken a vow of celibacy , meets Nami and she is playing her flute under the cherry trees and the blossoms are falling all around her.
All the Mornings of the World .... mostly the whole movie.
The scene in Excalibur when Arthur and his knights have just defeated the Saxons and they gather together in a circle under the stars, swords held aloft and pledge themselves to honor and truth, while Merlin looks on warily, counseling them to always remember this moment because things are going to get ugly.

I love film.

and the Ride of the Valkyries scene from Apocalypse Now. Classic. So beautiful it hurts.

Ok I'll stop or I could go on all afternoon.
Someone else take a turn ... please.

I hope valus comes in. Despite the Avater blunder he's a bit of a film geek, I think.

Just off the top of my head (I've probably got millions!)
The bit in Notting Hill when Hugh Grant is at the press conference and he asks Julia Roberts to stay and they just stare at one another smiling while Elvis Costello sings "She"....divine

Truly Madly Deeply where Alan Rickmans ghost appears to Juliet Stevenson while she's playing the piano.

Love Actually when Colin Firth goes to Portugal to ask Aurelia to marry him.

For me, replace Pretty Woman with Titanic in that statement.

Personaly, I loved "The Truman Show". I especially loved the ending- where he comes to the "end of his world" and discovers that what he has always suspected about his life i.e. that it is all a staged sequence of events, is true.

It just goes to prove that if you follow your gut instincts, it will lead you into ultimate freedom.

Freedom from a staged "matrix" of living.

What "freedom" that is,however, is another tory altogether.

The part in The Fox and the Hound, when they're both grown up and the hound is hunting the fox (and his mate) with his hunter/owner. The dog recognizes his old friend, when he has him cornered in water, and stands between the gun of his owner, and Todd (the fox). I saw that when I was seven, and it had me crying my eyes out.

When Gertie dresses up ET. ET, hiding in amongst Gertie's toys, when her mother checked out her closet.
I just love the whole movie. (I saw that when I was seven, too - both movies had a huge effect on me).

This one from Practical Magic:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sx4v5FcBARE

"That ain't a bridge! That's termites holding hands!" (The movers, in Funny Farm.)

Several scenes from Defending Your Life.

This one from Love Actually: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enrSE6vRWRY

Loved both The Usual Suspects, and Superman 2.

I loved that bit as well.

The Truman Show, is one my most favourite movies... I might watch it today, if I can find the video tape (and if it still works - I received it for Christmas, ten years ago).

Pleasantville, when patches of colour appear in the black and white scenes.

This is Halloween: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xpvdAJYvofI

Monsters Inc - the bit where Sully thinks Boo has been munched by the rubbish-compacting machine, the bit where he swoons is so sad.

Atonement - that build-up to the scene in the library, when Robbie's typing a filthy letter to Cecilia, and Cecilia's getting ready for dinner. Just lovely.

Lost in Translation - the scene at the end where Bob kisses Charlotte and whispers into her ear. Top Tip - if you listen to the film wearing headphones, on full volume, you can hear what he says. I love everything about that film actually, I think it's flawless.

Playing by Heart - when Ryan Phillipe goes to profess his love to Angelina Jolie and she's wearing her pj's, retainer and hair in rollers... priceless!

Dan in Real Life - the shower scene... hilarious, awkward and so endearing. I love Steve Carell.

In the Land of Women - the first time Meg Ryan and Adam Brody walk the dog and talk, it's just nice to see this sad, lovelorn woman and younger man connect on such an emotional human level.

Paris When it Sizzles - when Audrey Hepburn shows up for the first time and radiates enthusiasm with her effervescent charm... Just love her.

PA,

I haven`t seen Titanic either.

Well, I admit I gave it a try, three times or so, but I never could sit it through.
Once I thought I would manage, I was watching "Titanic" in some sort of open air cinema near to the Baltic sea, but within half an hour I decided it was far more interesting to watch the real ships come in and leave the harbour and take a midnight walk at the beach with all that stars glittering in the sky like diamonds.

So no Titanic for me. sorry.

The Notebook - where Noah takes Allie out on the lake to feed the birds - where she finds out he wrote her 365 letters

Face/Off - where Nicholas Cage's character walks toward the plane and picks up a pair of gold guns out of a box his goons hold out for him (something memorable about it)

I'll have to come back with more - work's distracting me from this
