You don't think your job is meaningful or that you provide invaluable service you are proud of?

It's really sad that's all you are getting from this forum.

I don't see it.

Drugs are good? Where did you see that?

Oh, wait, there were links to comedy regarding pot on YouTube.
And somebody cared enough to share links to research on mushrooms that is quite interesting to follow IMHO.

Too many possessions are evil but I DO come from a poor background where having an IPod would be a distant dream and where having something different than beans, rice or potatoes on the table would be a treat.

i totally do....i think i provide a meaninful service to people who need it. i see myself as blessed that i have a good job that allows me to pay my bills , own a home and help others lives to be easier.

what i see is themed in here anymore is a theme that discredits people like me. honest hardworking people like me, what we do and what we stand for.

no, i do not believe it is right, or fair or in any way just. I believe it is justifiacation for a lifestyle that is not the same, which does not need to be justified, becasue I don't see different as bad, or unworthy.

i just thought summing it all up, would maybe, just maybe let people see the rediculousness of the summary of ideas that are forcefully and regimentally withheld as the highest (pun intended) of standards. thats all.

maybe i just need to stay out of here.

I agree with you. The same people (not all of them) who didn't like Godzala are now promoting drugs. Yay!

I see how people could misinterpret posts and get that message but the posts as a whole did not sway me in the directions you indicated. They just made me more curious about stuff that I didn't know about. As always, I am grateful that there is someone out there to put those things up for my reading and educational pleasure.

I try to focus on the facts, not feelings here - hard to read feelings online, don't you think?

Well, actually...both the drug threads suggest in their title that drugs are the answer. Tough to misinterpret that.

you are a sweet person yin, that comes through loud and clear. i indeed like you very much.

but yes, a lot of stuff lately gives the impression that hardwrorking people are to be looked down upon.

idleness should be priased. work is for liars and thieves,
people who own nice homes should be miserable
and anyone who disagrees just doesn't get it.

but stealing movies from an already hurting industry is ok.

live and let live is not acceptable, because then you still don't get it.

there is a slant. for sure. to justify whatever, when nothing really needs to be justified, becasue we are all perfect and whole the way we are.

we don't have to cut down others and thier way of life to make ours more acceptable. nevermind, I'm always the bad guy for seeing through the crap to the heart of the matter.

LOL. So, the answer = good?

I know how even the word "drugs" can put someone on edge. Everything else becomes white noise after that. The scientists and researchers actually have some valuable info on the mushrooms. You should really watch the videos. I did and I'm happy I did.

As far as the pot thread - it's a joke. That's the title of the joke.

i could care less about pot. in fact i truly believe it should be legalized and taxed, thereby reducing our nations deficits signifacantly. it is a untapped resource in many ways, as hemp has many uses including alternate fuel and clothing. my issue isn't the weed or the drug aspect as much, it is a small part of the whole.

i was referring to the whole summation that the values we as society have as a whole, even those who give of our time and money, are crap. our endeavors are not worthwhile..that is the message i am getting here. and, no, i do not like it...because it is not true, and not fair. like i said, maybe i need to just stop reading these things.

emotions do come through in writings, and objectivity is relative. like right now, what is coming through in mine is that i am not thrilled with the summation of this forum as a whiole lately, although it comes over much stronger than i mean to,really i am just pointing out the obvious.

Ughh, I don't see that.

Here are my thoughts:

Having Coca-Cola factories for example is evil. Not because hard-working people are providing for themselves and their families but because Coca-Cola is totally unessential and it tastes gross on top of that.(Sorry, I don't drink soda at all.)
I am proud to say I don't work in a factory like that. I cannot and will not put down people who do, but I will put down the industry of Coca-Cola. It's superfluous. Not needed. The drink is addicting and unhealthy. Yes, drugs are too. (Not all drugs and not all the time) That's not what I'm talking about right now.
People need to know these things, see these things, think about them, talk about them.

I do believe that extremely hard work is soul crushing. Meaningless work is soul crushing. Speaking from experience on that.

I am lucky enough to have the education and resources to get a job that agrees with my ethics. Not everyone is that lucky but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't talk about it.

i disagree that soda plants are evil. this is a list of charitable organizations that benefitted from pepsi selling its product. without large corporations giving as they do, many of these organizations would be grossly underfunded. people need to know these things too.

pepsi gives back.

UGHH, yeah like the guy with a family to support who makes wiper blades for a living for 15 bucks an hour to feed his family, he MAY take offense that his hard work is meaningless and soul sucking.

but hey, if offending people is what you really really like to do, tell that guy if you must how his house he worked so hard for is an evil possession and how meaningless his life is. i suggest throwing in some fancy quotes and a huge dose of superior attitude. it still won't make it true.

cpn,

If you are going to argue against my position, you need to argue against it as a whole. You cannot pick at the parts you don't like, while ignoring their utility to the whole. Nor can you justify the wrong use of resources by citing examples of the right use. It doesn't work that way. The system I propose and promote would, first of all, eliminate the causes of most of those charities, and would provide for the rest, while also producing a reasonable variety of healthy food choices. Without money running the show, health would be a real priority.

I'm sorry you find so many of my ideas so difficult to swallow, and that you have misunderstood and misrepresented my values and my visions to such a degree. It is fairly clear to me that you are not a suitable listener for me, and you should find something that has resonance for you. I wish you the best of luck in that. Take care.

valus, I don't think i misrepresented or misunderstood the information as it was presented. However, I am not inclined to go anyfurther trying to understand becasue my opinion is that it is some way to validate a certain lifestyle and present it as the way or the answer for all of society. I do not choose that for myself as i believe in the pursuit of happiness according to my own dreams and values. it ultimately isn't about you, but you always make it about you and do not tolerate differing opinions. as a person, i value you, some of your writings are on the verge of great, but some is ego based soapboxing that i find hard to swollow, so, ultimately, i do agree with you i may not be a suitable listener.

you take care too.

Godzala : the forum - yes. So I never have to go there if I don't want to.
Or do we have to call things black and white now just to illustrate a point?
Feel free to pull out all of my 3? 5? posts on Godzala too.
