We had to put down our beloved dog, Jack Straw, yesterday. We had him an amazing 14 years. He had arthritis and he was in terrible pain. I tried holistic approaches, non holistic approaches. It was to no avail. In the end all that I could give him was love. Love that comes not from only my heart and soul but from the infinite energy that is all aound us.

I hurt right now because I miss him being here - by my side. He was the greatest teacher in what it means to love unconditionally. He was G-d in form, in matter, in a Being. He was my family's earthly Guardian Angel.

I have been releasing unnecessary, unwanted, unneeded energy and tapping into a higher source. I spoke/yelled the words. "Father, into Your hands, I commend my Spirit." I gave my life to G-d, to do
G-d's work. My dog seemed to have "instantly" gotten worse around the same time. 2 days later, Jack Straw left this earth.

I hurt, I cry but what he gave me, gave my family is immeassurable.

I Love you Jack Straw and thank you

So Sorry for your Loss mys-elf13,

http://www.pimall.com/nais/gad-b.html

A Place Called Rainbow Ridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to
someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are
meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can
run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and
sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to
health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made
whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our
dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and
content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone
very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all
run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly
stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are
intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run
from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs
carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special
friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion,
never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your
face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look
once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone
from your life but never absent from your heart
Then, you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I still cry over my precious ones long gone (12 to 50 years ago).
I understand.

I recently went through the same experience, mys-elf13. It is painful and I miss my dog constantly, but he visited me in a dream and that has helped immensely.

May you find comfort in your memories of the fourteen wonderful years you spent with each other, and may Jack Straw's unconditional love continue to fill your heart.

OH, sorry, yes, I know how you feel. Our Daschund died almost two years ago, she was 13! Awful, I found her, she died in bed asleep.
I was given a new puppy after, and swore I wouln't take to him, but he took to me anyway.

Then the love of my life, my Shih-Tzu followed me home a few short months later, and I feel like he was meant to be mine. He healed some deep hurts inside me, and we sometimes share telepathic thoughts.

Then I adopted an abused dog on Halloween!
The universe hates a void, and so, in time you will be filled up again, but no, you will never forget your precious ones..Bless.

I, too, am sorry for all of your losses as well. It is amazingly beautiful to me the amount of unconditional love we are capable of giving and receiving.

Thank you for all your kind words and thoughts.
