I have a month to finish my degree, and the only thing to help me stay focussed is adderall. My PCP perscribed 20 mg twice per day, and I just took 5mg, after not taking it for a year, and I feel okay right now. I probably shouldn't have started at noon, because I like getting a good night's sleep (no matter what my Sun conjunct Uranus says). So for some reason I feel the need to keep you folks posted about the effects this drug has on me in the coming weeks. Wish me luck. IP: Logged |

5 is nothing.ten you can feel. might keep you up if you take it less than 6 hrs before bed 20 or 30 is a standard recreational dose. take it early or stay up all night. its easy to get a problem if you take more than 20mg a day for a while i took over 200mg one day and saw elves and sh!t lol havent messed with that stuff for years now, though i dont recommend it. can u believe they give it to kids?! if u're the kind of person who can keep to a low dose, i mean, no more than 20 a day, then it may not be problematic, and may even help some things. but it IS speed. That's what it is. May as well call it Speed. IP: Logged |

Are there any alternatives to medications that you can use for AD/HD? I believe in neurodiversity, and so I don't really view it as a disorder. I have AD/HD myself, and a psychiatrist even said that I could use a little bit of Ritalin in 2006. I told that I don't want to use any medication. I told her about Omega 3 fatty acids and their connection to neurodivergent conditions. I took cod liver oil or fish oil. Since being a lacto ovo vegetarian, I only take algae oil capsules for my Omega 3 fatty acid DHA intake. I think of AD/HD as a genetic evolutionary trait. DRD4 7R gene is novelty seeking gene dated back between 10,000 and 40,000 years, and is connected to half of ADHD cases. Thom Hartmann calls it "The Edison Gene" ,and he wrote books about it. Mainstream School didn't work for Thomas Edison who was homeschooled by his school teacher ,mother. There are a lot of Thomas Edison-types that the mainstream school systems has failed.
Positive aspects of ADHD * Ability to see the ‘big picture’ * Being creative and inventive * Ability to focus intensely for a time * High levels of energy * Risk-taking can lead to discoveries * Being intuitive There are many causes of ADHD symptoms. 50 are listed here. http://www.incrediblehorizons.com/mimic-adhd.htm

Thanks, Raymond. At this point the deadline isn't condusive to seeking out alternatives. When it's over, that would be a better time for me. I was feeling jittery for a while until I added 20 mg of fluoxetine to the 10mg of addies. I might try upping the addie dosage to 15 tomorrow. IP: Logged |

The makers of this drug can go hump themselves. More later...------------------ “If we were more scientifically advanced-or more spiritually advanced, maybe that’s what it actually takes to go voyaging around in the great what’s-out-there--- we might see that there’s life everywhere. As many inhabited worlds and intelligent life-forms as there are anthills in this town.” Stephen King Under the Dome IP: Logged |

Thank you! At the most, I took 10 mg, I didn't dare take more. I head such severe headaches that I couldn't view the monitor for more than 5 minutes straight. Consequently, I haven't been able to get much done. I've stopped it completely and my head feels so much better.IP: Logged |
